I am surprised no one is discussing it here, the recent race in bahrain wan amazing. Although the Mercs pretty much blew everyone away, but there was some great racing between hamilton and rosberg.

There was some good competition between teammates, vettel/ricciardo, massa/bottas, perez/hulkenburg, hamilton/rosberg etc.

Too many promising young drivers around this time, the best part for me was when Vettel was told to let his teammate Ricciardo past him because Ricciardo was faster than him :laugh1:

Great race it was. Really really pleased Mercs are on top. And Vettel has something to think about this season.

And that level of racing between Nico and Lewis - wow. Take note Red Bull.

BTW Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat really impressed me. Vettel has competition with his own team mate and by the looks of it, it doesn't seem like Ricciardo is the one to back off, whenever he gets a chance he'll try to get past vettel.

On the other hand Kvyat having a car (torro rosso) that is inferior to all the top dogs still tried to push it and gave them a tough time and the guy is only 19 .

Ricciardo is the one to watch at Red Bull this season. He has had Vettel's number so far this season.
Magnussen has done really well too.

Domenicali steps down at Ferrari

Stefano Domenicali has paid the price for Ferrari's poor form, saying he takes "responsibility - as I always have" and has therefore resigned.

After a morning of speculation in the wake of rumours in the Italian media that Domenicali had fallen on his sword, Ferrari have confirmed his departure.

The Italian joined Ferrari in 1991 and succeeded Jean Todt as the team principal in 2008.

He was a nice guy (too nice? ). Anyways, I think he saw it coming as well, resigned before getting fired...

This just cracked me up:
Vettel must be wondering how he ended up with Webber's car.
(lmao)

Btw this rivalry between Nico and Lewis is now getting to the 'no-eye-contact-with-each-other' point.

What a shame... Was looking forward to seeing kimi's last Q3 lap. Anyways, the race tomorrow should be cracking! Ferrari has great pace on this circuit.

Yeah Kimi looked bang on it today in quali. Shame about Q3. But hey just when people thought they closed the gap on Mercs, they pull something out. Hoping for a great race tomorrow. Hopefully Rosberg wins this one.

Any news on Jules Bianchi's condition?
Still critical but in a stable condition.

- - - Updated - - -

In other news,

- Marussia and Caterham both went into administration and will not take part in the rest of the season.
- Vettel 'very likely' to miss the Austin GP qualifying session, reason: 6th engine unit.

I've been following this very keenly, and it is turning out to be an interesting story.

The only thing official at this moment in time is that Vettel is leaving RBR. It is widely believed, and Christian Horner and Niki Lauda have confirmed, that he has signed with Ferrari, but there's no official word yet.

Basically, Raikonnen and Alonso had contracts for next year with Ferrari. But with Honda returning to the sport next year as a partner to McLaren, they wanted to sign Alonso. The rumors are that Alonso agreed with Ferrari to terminate his contract for next year so he could sign with McLaren-Honda. Ferrari, understanding that he was in talks with McLaren-Honda, quickly grabbed Vettel to fill that seat.

Alonso was using his contract with Ferrari to get more money from Honda. But the Vettel announcement really threw the cat amongst the pigeons, because Alonso lost that leverage. So Honda offered less money, and Alonso didn't sign off the Ferrari contract. So essentially, Ferrari has 3 drivers employed for next year, which leaves Alonso with 2 options at this moment -
a) sign-off his contract with Ferrari and sign with McLaren-Honda, another team, or even take a sabbatical. OR
b) make Ferrari terminate his contract themselves so could receive $30million (the worth of his remaining contract) and then go off to McLaren-Honda or whatever.

So, in either cases he will be getting less salary from McLaren-Honda then he might have. But Alonso being Alonso, usually gets what he wants. We might hear some concrete news this weekend.

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
