Wateen Cable or PTCL in DHA Lahore - Help!

Hello Guys,

need help just moved to DHA, currently using wateen wifi, but i want to resume gaming so i wanted to know is wateen cable in DHA better for gaming or i should get PTCL DSL?

i live in dha lahore and i am using 2mb worlcall, its good because it has no download limit

have you used it for gaming? my sole purpose is gaming, so need to know average Pings.

i am in phase5 i dont think worldcall is here, though wateen is.

go for wateen .. it gives very low pings .. im thinking of switching to wateen as well .. i used it at my friend's house .. around 200 ms pings uptil europe ..worldcall is pathetic for gaming .. i cudnt play xbox live on it at all ..

well at my old place PTCL DSL use to give 170-180ms on europe servers..

plus i went to wateen office and asked them to ping on singapore server which was in 250 range but when i ping same server with my wateen wimax i get around 170 ping.

thats quite impressive .. why dont you use wimax for gaming ? .. witribe gives above 500 on European servers :/

i get 110+kb on torrents, upload speed is i think around 30kb not sure. i used to play on wimax but DSL is way better. since no one had answer to my questions i guess i have to take risk my self.

yes applied for it today, it will be installed within 2 3 days. one more thing no other service is present here in Phase 5 you cant even get PTCL as Wateen has a contract with DHA.

PTCL Service is sh!!ty in DHA .I applied for 4MB PTCL DSL Connection (I live in Phase 3) and it would only work at 512kb speed (Would disconnect if they upgrade port to 4mb).I've been using Wateen's HFC Connection for almost 1 year now and overall downtime for internet in 2011 was only like 3-4 hours .Once there was issue with modem - I called Wateen and they resolved it within few hours.There is no cap so you can download 24/7.Reliable Connection, only downside is the price, login and browsing issue ( It just hangs sometimes for like 2-3 minutes).

I had the same issue with PTCL in phase 4.. 4 mb dint work .. disconnecting all the times ... by wateen HFC u mean the cable broadband ? man the pings are impressive.. i might get it next month ..

ok i got it installed today. getting 100- 115 pings on singapore server and around 150 or lower on some of the europe. although my connection is 1mb but i am getting download speeds around 140 - 180kbps - so far it has been good

    I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.
