Well, this is a subjective matter.
USSR's involvement in Afghanistan left it (Afghanistan) in ruins. If USSR had strong economy during this time, it may not have been possible to rout it from Afghanistan and its performance would have been better.
Pakistan served as a staging ground for Mujahedeen to recover, regroup, train, acquire funds and weapons throughout this war. Mujahedeen also understood the territory of Afghanistan better then USSR. In short, Mujahedeen had advantages of their own in this war. USSR, on the other hand, had superior technology and large military but was not doing economically well during this time. Due to this factor, USSR found it difficult to effectively wage war in Afghanistan and defeat Mujahedeen.
I do feel that involvement in another country's war is one of the greatest strategic blunders committed by military establishment. It fueled gun-culture, lawlessness in provinces bordering Afghanistan, extremism and pressure on economy.

I'm not advocating his personality, but let's be realistic, what is the reason why only Muslim countries are being targeted and butchered! Is there any other reason that we are Muslims?

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
