I was researching about Universitys and the Ivy Leagues, and looking at the stats of people who went to them, and I was like WTF? But suddenly I realized, I should think about my major. So here it is, what did you guys major in for your undergraduate (4 year degree) and why?
Also, what about your Masters (If any?)

Did you do it because of family reasons?
Or because of pay?
Or because "everyone is doing it"?
Or because it was your passion?
Why? Just curious.

And for people not in Uni's what do you plan on?

What Uni do you want to attend?

Telecommunication Engineering. Not exactly my passion, but knowledge in any form is valuable. I initially chose it for family reasons, but now I'm beginning to like it. (If only there were jobs!)

I have done my bachelor of engineering in information technology and then recently done my masters in computer networking, why I have chosen these subjects? Well, simply because I had an interest in computers and internet/networks. You should not be concern about what others are doing, just select a area/subject in which you have a interest and of course you also need to consider the future aspect of the selected field with resepct to job/career.

@Shary: You will get a good result inshAllah

Arsal, good to see that you are beginning to like it, as for jobs when the time comes things end up okay.

Evil, why would you want to change it? Did you just start off and not like it?
And for those in currently enrolled in a University or those who have graduated (Inferno) : Did you enroll without knowing what you are really interested in?

That's how my brain works buddy. I know it has to be computers, I just don't know if I like web developing, software developing or networks more. :p

Haven't studied in-depth about networks yet.

completed BS in Biomedical Engineering from SSUET his year, and will apply for MSc in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology in Germany this year inshAllah.
And i want to add that this field is so new here in Pakistan that it had no scope when i started, but it was my passion to do so, i did it and now some opportunities are opened, but my aim was to do research work which is impossible here, so i decided that i will continue it in medical/pharma specialist country Germany.

Currently doing BS Economics from NUST and after this i'm planning to either go abroad for my MS or go to LUMS.
finally someone in my line of work... i'm doing BSc Economics & Finance from London School of Economics external program here in islamabad.... :D
Good to see some leaning more towards the Finance/Economics side since I am also planning on a B.S in Finance/Economics/Accounting (Whichever it may be), I plan on the first 1 or 2 years at a normal university, then transferring to New York University or something InshAllah.
