Lost in a world, that scares me to death,
Lost in a crowd, I'm losing my breath.
Lost as a boy, lost as a man,
I need to grow up, don't think I can.

Lost as a person, can't find my way.
Lost in life, every day.
Lost in worry, who am I?
All my life, I've lived a lie.

Lost to kindness, lost to love,
Lost in a sky, like a Lonely dove.
Lost in thought, which I shouldn't do,
It winds me up, I can't get through.

Lost to comfort, all kind words,
Lost to advice, it isn't heard.
Lost to those who really care,
All these people, always there.

Lost in me, I need a break,
Lost in wonder, which road to take?
Lost in a place I don't know well,
Where are you now? There's no one to tell.

Lost here, all alone,
Lost apart from the mobile phone.
Lost still, there are no calls.
I'm struggling alone, to break these walls.

Lost in mind, lost in soul,
Lost memories, they're just a hole.
Lost family, lost mate,
Gone now, yet I'm full of hate.

Lost in a straight world,
Lost now, for what to say,
Lost in boredom, think I'll leave.
There's a lot in life I need to achieve.

Not big into poems, tho a good verse or two heard and said at the right moment can make a world of a difference.

HAD I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet,
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams

W.B. Yeats

Heard this one in the highly underrated "Equilibrium", and as I said, AMAZING power in the last four lines.

The other is a stanza from Pablo Neruda that I heard somewhere in an ep of How I met you mother (!!)
To bread I do not ask to teach me
but only not to lack during every day of life.
I don't know anything about light, from where
it comes nor where it goes,
I only want the light to light up,
I do not ask to the night
explanations,
I wait for it and it envelops me,
And so you, bread and light
And shadow are.

both are great pieces of works by legendary poets... sad that we hear such magnificent stuff on the idiot box and not in books any more :(

Too many to name. Literally. I have gone through so many poems during my literature graduation, and when I looked through everyone's list here, I think, I have read almost all of them. But, here are my favourites;

- Ode on a Grecian Urn - John Keats
- Ode to Autumn - John Keats ... I love all of his odes, but these two are my favourite.
- The Eve of Saint Agnes - John Keats
- La Belle Dame Sans Merci
- When I have fears

- Poison Apple - William Blake

Emily Bronte. I have all her poems - or the ones I could find anyways - and I adore them all, but these two, stand out a bit for me.

- Emily Bronte's
- Hope
- A Day Dream

Edgar Allan Poe:

- The Raven
- Annabel Lee
- A dream within a dream

The Road not Taken - Robert Frost
Dasht-e-tanhai - Faiz Ahmed Faiz

Jack and Jill
Went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water,
Jack fell down
And broke his crown
And Jill came tumbling after.
Up Jack got
And home did trot
As fast as he could caper,
Went to bed
To mend his head
With vinegar and brown paper.
