XFX GT 220 (Low Fps Problem)

AoA,

I have a XFX GT 220 1 GB 128 Bit ddr2. So now the problem is i get very low fps at every new game i try to play, even need for speed undercover. :/


My PC Specs
i3 550 3.2 Ghz
Asus P7H55 MLX
2 GB DDR3 Ram
Antec 450 W Psu,
Windows 7 64 Bit
I have tried to find out my GPU Specs thru GPUZ and its core clock is 475 mhz , shader clock 1100 . and memory clock 400 mhz, but according to my research gt 220 should have 625 mhz coreclock, Shader clock : 1320
Memory clock : 720.

Please tell me how to solve this problem,
FPS at different games
Homefront : 25 FPS ( Lowest Graphics , 800X600 )
NFS SHIFT : 30 FPS ( Lowest Graphics , 640X480 )
COD Black Ops : 45 FPS ( With alot of delay between input devices and the game , 800X600 , Lowest Graphics )
NFS SHIFT 2 Unleashed : 20 FPS ( Alot of delay , 640X480, Lowest Graphics )
BFBC2 : 25 FPS (Again Alot of delay , 800X600 , Lowest Graphics )
Flight Simulator X : 25 FPS ( 1024X780 , High )
Please Help me guys, don't know what the problem is, and please dont say GT 220 is not a Gaming Card, But it should give smooth gameplay with low graphics + lowest Reso, Even i cant play NFS MOSTWANTED smoothly with 1280X1024 Reso.

Is it the graphic card's problem or Ram's problem?

The only games i can play smooth are
NFS HOT PURSUIT 2010 : 55 FPS (800X600 , Medium)
Counter Strike Source : 150 FPS (1024X780 , All High )
Team Fortress 2 : 100 FPS (800X600 , All High )

I can't even play COD 4 at 1024 reso smoothly . i get 15 FPS at COD 4 (1024X780 , All High )

Ok. So this should be your GPU. GT 220.

First uninstall the drivers etc. Download the latest 280.26. Install it using custom installation. Select clean installation, and de-tick all boxes except graphic driver and physx driver.

Install, restart. Go nvidia control panel. check physX. If its set to Auto, good. Move on. close Nvidia control panel.

You i am sure know that this isn't card gaming can be done on.

So dont try 1280x1024 on it. Keep your eyes only till 1024x768. Use no Anisotropy. Use Trilinear for filtering. Use Low to very low settings related to GPU. Your processor is good so you can use high depending on games. Turn vsync off. IMO between 20 and 30fps is all you will get on this GPU. So all is fine.

Edit: If using monitor, use max refresh rate. i.e if using 17inch monitor, use 100Hz refresh rate for 800x600.

there is no problem in the card. the graphic card you have is for casual gaming. its a low end card.

sell this crap and buy a better card.

bro....i think you may have bought the "green version" of GT 220. It happened with with me when i bought a 9600gt. I ended up with a 48sp shader when it was normally 64 :/
So....yes...its a problem with your card particularly because at your resolutions....it should give humble fps...not lightening fast...but humble. The last time i saw a 400 mghz gpu was Nvidia 6600gt. And that came out in 2004!!

Here u go Bro Download the drivers from here install these !
after installing recheck your FPS in games and if u still get low fps try to increase paging file memory close any additional program;z running in background while playing games such as an antivirus defragment your hardrives install ccleaner clean your registry and download gpu-z and post a sanpshot

completely uninstall the driver.. Using YOUR UNINSTALLER . and then download the fresh one .. and install it.. let me know if the problem still exists..
