They said fine details like grass, staircases and meshes where you'll see pixel crawl look sharper and have a "pristine edge" on XBX. They didn't say anything bad about the PS4 Pro's IQ or CBR at all. It got the job done as intended.

Other then that the texture quality and everything else is identical between the game so there wasn't much else to comment on.

On top of the CB, Pro also has dynamic scaling vs , as they said , “a full proper 4K” on X1X.
Thats the best the Pro can do so thats what had to get the “job done”.

Followed by the actual differences which are "fine details" and "pristine edge", and yep, you're right CB got the job done if it manages to make 4.2 TFlops look 19:20 difference to 6.3 TFlops.

This image comparison will illustrate. Pro is slightly blurrier in comparison but otherwise it holds up remarkably well. That and as mentioned resolution is the only difference here. Everything else is 1 : 1. This game is one of the least 'differentiated' games between the consoles so far.

To me, thats a massive improvement in clarity and resolving detail, be it objects looking like they're supposed to or just far less jaggies overall.

Nowhere does DF say that Pro holds up "remarkably well".

Fine detail like grass is much clearer at Xbox One X's true 4K output,and trumps PS4 Pro's checkerboarded approach.

However, in the case of Destiny 2 at least, there's a clear drop-off in quality compared to a pure 3840x2160 output, especially noticeable on foliage and high frequency detail.

Again, the major enhancements being pointed out are either in grass or high frequency areas where pixel crawl shows up. Other then that every single aspect of the games visuals are identical. This is one of the lesser enhanced titles we've seen so far compared to some others like BF2. Native image is a little bit clearer than CB but that's a case where you need to be zooming and enhancing to actually see the differences.

That's the whole point of CB, simulating near-native 4K visuals at half the performance cost and it's doing as advertised here.

Six more Xbox 360 games that are backward compatible on Xbox One are getting enhanced updates — like improved pixel count and enhanced color depth — on Xbox One X, Microsoft announced during a livestream today. Those new Xbox One X-enhanced titles include Rockstar Games’ open-world Western Red Dead Redemption and Epic Games’ third-person shooter Gears of War 2.
Sega’s Sonic Generations, which was originally released on Xbox 360 in 2011, also joins the list of backward compatible games — and it too is now Xbox One X enhanced.
Rounding out the list are Vigil Games’ Darksiders, Valve’s Portal 2 and LucasArts’ Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
Those six new Xbox One X Enhanced games go live today.
Today’s updates bring the number of Xbox One X-enhanced Xbox 360 games to 17. In February, Microsoft added The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Forza Horizon, Fable Anniversary and Crackdown to the list, joining Assassin’s Creed, Fallout 3, Gears of War 3, Halo 3, Mirror’s Edge, The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion and Skate 3.

Red Dead Redemption has been added to the list of games that receive significant visual improvements over the original release, including a bump to 4K resolution, when played on Xbox One X. Watching Red Dead Redemption run in 4K is like putting on glasses for the first time: Textures are crisper, details pop out of the background and it’s much easier to see what’s happening in the distance.
The Xbox One X visual update for Red Dead Redemption was released yesterday to a decent amount of fanfare, but but it doesn’t feel like people got excited enough, now that we’ve seen what a difference the new visuals make.
This is a great excuse to replay the original before the sequel comes out, or to jump into the game for the first time. Red Dead Redemption seems like a must-play experience if you have an Xbox One X.

The Xbox One X is the most powerful console on the market right now, and it’s also the most expensive. But Microsoft is dropping the price on that system and offering a few other interesting deals around E3, and they’re worth checking out.
Starting June 7, the Xbox One X will be going down to $449.99 from the original price of $499.99. This discounted price will be available at the Microsoft Store and “participating retailers” through June 23, although we wouldn’t be too surprised if this ended up being a permanent price drop. We also wouldn’t count on it, so grab one during the sale if you’re in the mood to buy.
Here are some of the other deals that Microsoft will be offering through those dates:

• 500 GB Xbox One S console for $199
• 1TB Xbox One S bundles for $249
• Up to 75 percent off select games, including first-time discounts on newly released titles such as Monster Hunter: World, Sea of Thieves and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds
• One month of Xbox Live Gold and/or Xbox Game Pass for $1
• $10 off controllers

A bunch of games will also be on sale, although we don’t know exactly how much they will be discounted.
Microsoft does describe the sale as offering “amazing deals on over 300 games including those blockbusters you’ve been meaning to pick up like Battlefield 1, FIFA 18, NBA 2K18,Assassin’s Creed Origins, Forza Motorsport 7, Destiny 2, Super Lucky’s Tale, Monster Hunter: World, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Sea of Thieves.” Certain season passes and DLC will also be on sale for 50 percent off or more.
Microsoft is really hoping it can get you excited about the Xbox family of consoles during E3, and these sales give you a good excuse to pick up hardware if you see something you like during the show. We’ll see if the other console manufacturers offer similar deals.
