Is it Safe to update new dashboard ?

hi guys i wanna ask that is it safe to update the dashboard of xbox on my modded console? and i heard that some new games also update the dashboard, is it true? plz tell me which is better to update dashboard? from live or from game ? and does dashboard have any connection with the ixtreme ?

A great amount of work has been put into the xtreme, and now current ixtreme firmware. commodore4eva, now simply known as 'c4e' came upon the scene to bring changes to the xbox360's firmware that lead to new innovations and progress to a section within the xbox360 hacking scene.

These changes have been for the most part very positive, and in 2009 I formed a group who became known as 'Team Jungle' who spent 8 months working in unison to crack the first LiteOn drive. It was a very very big achievement, and kudos is deserved all around for each member that did their share. It was a very bleak dismal long process that did not look so promising for many many months. The conclusion of Team Jungle/Team HyperX has arrived, and will be documented in this story. It is also my intention to notify everyone of facts previously withheld from the public, and to clear the air with some people unfairly accused of fraud and elitism/heroism with malcontent

Guys, is there any method to identify the Ix fw on my 360? I don't think it's 1.5 because it can't run wave 4 games and neither is it 1.6 because the activation iso doesn't work on it. It can run H.A.W.X and prototype when they came out if that's of any help.
Also if i have to upgrade (I have the Liteon drive), so which fw should i upgrade to?

But the paying thing is NOT scene, the scene NEVER EVER asks for money. They do what they do for "Fun"
Money for the services provided by the scene is just not considered scene.

firmware is not comming antime soon!!!

If the guy wants to be paid for making the new 1.7 firmware update then its gonna be for the first time he sells as after one purchase *or maybe 2* it will be leaked via download. So i see no real benefit of the guy trying to make money off of it, just ruining his online rep. Or it could be possible this money thing is a just a hoax as they really have no clue how to make the new 1.7 firmware update as MS has done a good job closing all the holes? Any way you look at it this new firmware wont be comming any time soon.

Too bad us pakistani's can't do this hacking stuff of 1.7 as we are just as good as anyone else in piracy

U guyz didnt get the real game which was being played between c4ever and MS, they bribed him for the source code of ixtreme 1.6 and banned almost 1 million people c4 sold himself and the code and now ixtreme isnt a reliable source for playing online games anymore sum other hacker should take upon his job as hez a culprit now.... dont ask me for proves c`oz its a common sense....
