Guys i need to know the procedure for burning the 'activate.iso' file on a single layer of a dual layer disc using clone cd.can someone also give me the link to download activate .iso.I don't wanna use IMGBURN as it's highly unreliable.Also let me know whether the boot disc (for wave 4 ) will work for wave 5 games.reply ASAP.

i allready see the money makers looking at us all as sheeps , imagine what price they will now ask to upgrade our consoels to the new version , i allready dished out 2000 rs for a update from 1.6 to 1.61 ...what the hell now again another update.

the market supervisors should come forward and look at the outragous prices being asked for updation , rs.2000/- is to much for a update .

i mean common guys .....

The new LT will be a UNIVERSAL thing.. prolly 1.7 but its gonna work for more than atleast 3-4 more waves.. Unless I've totally missed something..

you have to update your dashboard otherwise it wont work ... if you are banned then just use the manual method of burning the update from download.microsoft.com...9_8955.zip

Save it as "$SystemUpdate_Fall09_8955.zip" anywhere on your computer.
Unzip the File.

Copy the contents from the unzipped folder onto the root of your flash drive

Safely remove the flash drive from your computer and plug it into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console. If your console is on, turn it off, then back on. The update program will start automatically.

Select Yes, update now. When you see the new dashboard, you're done.

What if one has ixtreme 1.6 and wants to play OLDER games, which are NOT stealth patched. (Like "The darkness" and crackdown) is there anyway to play them? And in the future (With future ixtremes) will there be a way to play them?

And what should be the first thing a person does when he gets an unmodded 360? Update it? And then get it flashed?

dude u can use abgx360 to stealth patch them .. just run the iso thru it with fix level3 ... or u can use the activate disc and 1.6 and 1.61 will boot the game regardless of the stealth patching

and about the unmodded 360.. best thing is to keep it unmodded .. atleast until LT comes out (that is if u want to avoid a ban)

dude what are you talking about ... Imgburn is the best burning software ever !! ... just use imgburn .. i have burned over 100 activation discs and all work ok ! .. and burn the data to the first layer .. imgburn will ask u and u click yes

That's not exactly their job, you should be smart enough not to pay that much.

i agree with adam ... its ur job not to pay that much .. i only charge 800 for firmware upgrade ... pretty reasonable

IMGBURN is best for burning activate.iso like faizy said, you should try this tutorial.

1. http://www.imgburn.com/ (Leave the default settings untouched or restore to factory defaults).

2. Right-click Activate.iso and then select "Burn using ImgBurn".

3. Click the Write button at the bottom left.

4. Proceed/continue with burning the image onto an 8.5GB DVD+R DL.

5. Sway from the norm and burn only on 1 layer.

6. When the disc has been written and then ready to finalize, let it finalize throughout the entire process. This is going to take a while...

7. Put the burnt disc into 360, press A on controller to Play DVD. Eject disc and then put in a Wave 4 game until iXtreme 1.7 releases, or a non-stealthed game. Press A again to launch game.


Note: If you get stuck at 99% during finalization, it is normal. Your burner is burning data onto every single empty sector of your DVD+R DL disc. It will take the same amount of time as burning a 7.29GB image.

activation discs takes about 5 mins to burn ... atleast with me .. the data takes 2 mins .. the finalize takes 3 mins

nah man .. ull need to get it upgraded to 1.6 and use an activate disc .... if u have a drive older than lite-on then u can get it upgraded to 1.61 and play wave4 directly

Wave 4 is wave 4.. whether its on Malaysian or on the Double-Layered blue ones.. you need to upgrade to 1.6 then use the activation disc thing..
