Hi guys, need reviews from owners of Lumia 535 including battery life and touch screen performance. Is it a good purchase or should I go for some android phone in similar price range?

Lumia 540 is releasing for around the same price. It's better than 535. It should be releasing within a week or so.
In my opinion, a better option than other phones. But that depends on preferences.

A friend of mine says he used to have this issue but not anymore. Another one never encountered any liable at all
Also, the problem seems to be with the first batch of phone only. The newer batches of the phone seem to be problem free

I am getting a black Lumia 530 Dual Sim in 9.5k
Warranty started in May 2015 and it is with complete original accessories less the original charger. The owner lost the original charger but he is providing a Samsung charger with the phone. Should I go for it?

I have never owned a Windows smartphone before and don't know what things to check
Are there any special codes that allow me to test the phone like in Samsung and LG?

Please suggest me some important things that I should check other than the normal camera, touch response, screws, body, speaker and mic

Well that is a good deal, although I'd take it for 9k, but make sure the charger is okay. Charge your phone for about 15-25 minutes and see how fast it charges, both when idle and when in use

I don't know much about codes but make sure you get the back cover off, remove the battery and inspect all the screws. And such stuff. Make sure the hardware buttons are working and headphone jack is okay, take earphones/headphones with you.
Insert a sim in both slots and check reception etc. Call the number and check voice quality on both ends.

On the software side, make sure you know what you are getting into. Because it's not the most customizable OS out there but it works and that's what I like about it and has some great tricks up its sleeves. Windows 10 is shaping up to be a great overhaul.
Apps are here, almost all of them but they may not be of the same quality as are found on iOS or Android but most of them work.

The charger he gave me has only 0.55A output and I think it is taking longer than usual to charge the phone

Apple doesn't make affordable smartphones. The news isn't really that surprising, to be honest. Very few people use BB OS and most people simply can't afford iOS devices in a third-world state. The only alternative left is Android (which is leading the market) followed by Windows.

WP is nowhere near challenging Android just yet though.

For my money, I would have guessed any phone from 6XXX, 8XXX, 9XXX series but hell no, the cheaper phone gets it right.

Idk about the low end phone market right now, but 2 years ago when I was looking for a phone, the 520 was pretty much perfect. Well built, did everything I needed it to do, worked smoothly. Still using it to this day, and it really disappoints me seeing where MS is taking WP.
