Aoa, I am looking forward to build a new PC for gaming. After spending about a whole week cruising through various websites, reading reviews and watching benchmarks I've made a list of the parts I plan on buying. Now the problem, as you can tell by the title of this thread, is that I can't find a merchant who offers these parts for sale. I've looked almost everywhere in my city (Faisalabad) but none has the stuff which I require. List of items can be found below the paragraph.. So I was wondering if one of fellow gamers could help me out with this situation? I mean where could I buy such gear in Pakistan? If not, is importing a viable option? I have a relative in US willing to ship the parts but I have never imported anything neither has he ever sent any electronics to anyone through a shipping company before so I have no idea how the process would be carried out (Customs, Clearance, Tax Blabla..) So if anyone have experience regarding this please share some useful information. Any help would be much appreciated!

Item List:
Intel i5 3570K Ivy Bridge LGA 1155 @ 3.4 GHz
Asus Maximus V Gene LGA 1155 z77 mATX
SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series MZ-7PD128BW 128GB SATA III SSD
Sapphire Radeon 7970 OC 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0
G.Skill Ripjaws X 8GB DDR3 @ 1866MHz F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL
SeaSonic X650 650W 80 PLUS GOLD Certified FULL Modular Active PFC
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo Air Cooling

P.S: My cousin will be visiting us here in Pakistan shortly, should I tell him to bring these for me instead of getting them shipped? I mean if it saves the additional cost, why not? Or will he be charged even if he carries them? like clearance on airport or whatever?

Some of the components are available on czone.com.pk BUT they cost much more. I could get 7970 for about 31K (If I choose to import) and they are selling it for about 45K!

Majority of the stuff you need is available locally, ( Czone and Galaxy )
The only problem you are likely to encounter is high price of GPU in our market due to imposed taxes..
I would strongly advise you NOT to import the card by shipment alone because it would be subjected to huge taxes and all your efforts will go in vain. But if your cousin can bring the card with him then there is a possibility you might escape the taxes... ( specially if he is coming with his family)

DUDE, AVOID IMPORTING ALONE!!! ul be robbed off by the LAW :D

seriously, try to be content with the already avaiable items here (sold on website/shops etc).. seriosuly! coz one thing iv noticed is dat if ur not overclocking, a simple intel board will be fine to do ur needs!
also Seasonic DOES NOT come here, unlesse some1 has brought it himself, especially the new x series (very expensive but the best there is)

my HUMBLE/BROTHERLY advise wud be to avoid importing MAJOR items (gpu/proc etc) from abrod

Why not go with 4670k?on galaxy there is a good(from performance:price perspective) motherboard GIGABYTE GA-Z87-HD3 for 16500 rs to go with it.You can find cpu coolers even from galaxy rwp outlet.if your cousin can bring something small like ssd or gpu with him than it's worth it but shipping alone(without your cousin)will cost much more.Samsung ssd may not be available here but corsair is very good. There is a modular
Xigmatek Centauro 700W 230V Modular Power Supply 80+ Certified available on imx.Seriously a 700 or 750 w power supply will be better for your rig as you will be running a high end graphics card.Corsair gs 7 or 800 psu is also a good option though non modular.Don't by 7970 yet wait for the 9000 series as it will be much better.

You can get the 7970 under 40k from Easetec, authorised dealers of gigabyte.I'm telling you bro, you'll curse your self when you need after sales service if you import your pc components from abroad.

Bro in all honesty, if your cousin can, ask him to get the small stuff, GPU, SSD, maybe PSU, processor given you're getting it cheaper there. But for casing and motherboard, get it from here. Motherboard is a bit of a fragile component, So my recommendation get it from here. If you wanna go all out, then don't import at all. Buy locally.

I myself ordered a GPU of amazon and got it shipped to dubai, from there a relative brought it to Pakistan. Yes it was cheaper with all the shipping charges added, but warranty becomes an issue. International warranty is difficult to claim sitting from Pakistan.

Got each and everything from Galaxy. I'm sure i could have saved a buck or 2 here and there from some local vendor, but i decided not to take any risk and just go with a trusted vendor like Galaxy. They even gave me a nominal discount by matching their prices to the local ones or bringing them more or less close to the local ones, just because i was buying all my PC components from them. They never do that if you buy one or two components.

USPS seems to be a quite good option. First class International Package fee is about 50 bucks, cant beat it! Any thoughts?
