Alright i got about 40-50k

system i'm currently using
Core i5 750
2gb DDR3 1333mhz corsair ram
500gb segate (don't need more of hdd 500gb is very much enough form me)
Asus Vento Ta-85
Ati 4350
Dh55hc intel mobo
monitor is samsung 23'inch lcd supports 1080p resolution but only has dvi and vga support. (probably all gpu currently still comes with vga ports right? :D)

so should i upgrade this only or sell this and buy a new pc/laptop.

Currently i'm looking for extreme gaming like everything on ultra high and system should be such that should runs games which are about to release this year in 2013 like bioshock infinite should run easily on ultra high.

If votes are to sell the current system then guide me as to how much money will i get from it.
Also if i have to sell this up according to your guys recommendation, would a gaming laptop be preferred over desktop?

p.s: kindly read all the details then answer me out

Thanks to all who will help :wink2:

Your processor is adequate for gaming.
Just get a god gpu like 7870 or 660 for less than 30k ( Good psu required btw)
Bump up the ram to 4gb and you're good to go.
Oc the processor a lil bit also.
Also what resolution u play at?

Hmmm... In my opinion, ill recommend this.
Sell your current processor and motherboard for around 14-15k.

This makes your total budget of 15+50=65k
Now buy the following items

Motherboard=
Processor= Asrock H77 for 9300rs from IMX
Processor= Core i5 3550 for 20500rs from IMX
Add another stick of 2gb ram for 1500rs
A decent 600 watts 80+ PSU for around 6000-7000rs of your choice.
And Club3d 7870XT for 26000rs from IMX. If you like Nvidia then you can get Gtx 660.

The build above is good but H77 is not necessary. Instead get the gigabyte B75 and 8gb ram. A silverstone 500w PSU and a GTX 660 and an i5 3550. Sell your current rig.

Anywhere in the world :p
what about gaming lappy or if i sell this system and get that alienware or xps desktop used in 65-70k.

like this: http://www.pakgamers.com/forums/f64/alienware-aurora-dell-xps-730x-154181/

keeping in mind i want all settings of current and to be released games in ultra high

Bhai, if you can shell out 65 to 70k for a gaming system and sell your own to lets say make 85k You should be buiding a kick ass gaming rig on your own ....

Instead of buying branded rigs.

Lots of people here can help you out .. in building a brilliant gaming rig for 70k, although the above mentioned rig is not bad , but 2nd or 3rd generation processors are now preferable.

Btw, Haswell is coming out soon in june, so If you want to wait, you can for that.

It will work on an entirely different CPU socket and different motherboards.

i can chunk out max 65-70k after selling this rig i suppose.
i can wait but that means my current rig would sell for low more :) which would make the budget to little less than before
what would be the optimum decision?

In my opinion , since you plan to play everything on maximum settings and ultra with all the eye candy .. The GPU should be the center of your rig.

Now you can sell the core i5 and motherboard for around 15k and your 4350 for around 3k more... That gives you a lump sum of 68000. I would recommend you add 2000-3000 PKR more if you can ... to make it 70-7100 PKR

Then Buy this

Core i3 3220 from czone for 12100
Gigabyte H61 from czone for 5100
Corsair GS600 or anything cheaper you can find for around 5000 to 6000 PKR
Club 3d Royal Ace 7970 Ghz Edition from Imx for 46000 PKR
Add 2gb memory for 1500

Total is around 71000 PKR.

Off course you can follow Haroon's advice too , if you are interested in a core i5 rig and 7870 XT. But I think a 7870XT is comparable to a stock 7950.
And with crysis 3 and some of the other games coming up ,the 7870 XT might not be able to keep pace with all the eye candy turned on.

You can overclock the Ghz edition perhaps some more to get maximum benefit.

Anyways, if my stuff doesn't suit you , Haoon's is the best : ) Go for it !

The i5 750 is still a good gaming processor and if overclocked to 4.0 GHz or more, there's no need to upgrade. But, your DH55HC won't allow such higher clocks and I don't think you'll be able to get a good 1156 board (which allows decent overclocking) in warranty as it's an old platform. You can either try to get the max achievable clocks with the current mobo or wait a bit and upgrade to Haswell. And yes try to get more RAM too. And of course, a good power supply is a very good investment as, along-with the many other advantages, it can be reused if you upgrade your mobo/processor later on.
