Well , As my FAST is on chances and on some miracle. I want to ask, which uni is good on number 2 3 and so on, for CS.

And Yes what about buying a seat in NED. I heard they also sell it. Is CS is good there or Software engineering?
And yeah what about KU? Does they sell it too?

NED don't sell seats and their criteria regarding Inter marks is high, for example: all seats end at 70%+ even for fields like Food Engineering etc. In regular category last year, the final Computer Science (BCIT) seats were taken at 77%.

They do have extra seats, but require around 6 lakh upfront (Self Finance seats). In my case, only 4 A Level seats were available for Electrical Engineering (compared to around 210 seats for Inter) so I also opted for Self Finance to get into EE. Last year the last Self Finance Computer Science (BCIT) seats were taken at around 66% (this percentage increases by a small percent each year).

NED's BCIT isn't THAT good as compared to FAST, NUST or IBA, but is decent.

However I'd recommend that you try Karachi University, IBA and Usman Institute. KU's new UBIT department is fantastic (I've heard this from friends who study there). IBA is improving rapidly in CS field, and Usman Institute is also a decent institute for Computer Science. Remember, for CS, you need to have skills, the university doesn't matter that much as compared to hardware engineering like Electrical E or Mechanical E.

Not sure about other universities. What could your 2nd year percentage be? Improvement? I am not sure but with below 60%, its gonna be difficult to get into IBA at least. You might still get into KU and Usman Institute. NED is very difficult to get in as their merit closed at 67% last year even on Self Finance.

He's right. I'm an nedian myself. OP you should go for UBIT-KU now. It's really good TBH

With that percentage I don't think you'll get itno morning shift of UBIT-KU. You might have to score really really good in their test since they have test weightage too, which might make up for less score in Inter. But still I highly doubt it.
However, you should be able to get into evening shift of UBIT-KU. Universities don't really matter much in CS, its how you develop yourself and your skills matter just as Shary pointed out. You should look for alternatives such as Usman and Sir Syed for CS too.

It's a good department. People like to shit-talk KU but I tell you that it is improving rapidly in Computers department, just like IBA... Still not as good as FAST and NUST though.

Is that for CS?
Yeah UBIT is one of the dept of KU (for CS) I have decided to go there myself too.. @Galvatron is going there... maybe he'll help you answering some of your questions regarding ubitPlus the total score for UBIT goes like this (60% test + 40% academic record) so people with low % have a very good chance to get in there..

What do you want to know about UBIT?
I dont know why people are comparing UBIT with IBA,sure it is progressing in CS but its not better then UBIT or equal to.graduates from UBIT are quite successful in the field. Shyber can tell you more about this matter.
and about percentage well anyone having below 60% will have to be really good in test for morning shift.else in evening you have a chance at this %.my friend had 58% in inter and he got enrolled in evening program.

Well on their website it says... inter with Mathematics with atleast 55% marks...
Department of Computer Science - UBIT

So lets suppose you got 60 in inter and you scored 70 in a test.. so ur score would be 66 where as one who had 85 in inter and 50 in test would haev the score 62.... So in this way there is a chance for people who had low % in inter but scored good in test....

And like galvatron said u'd have to be really good in test for morning.... for evening i think it'll go ok...

UBIT is offering 3 degrees. BS in software engineering, Bscs and bcs. My question is which of these has most scope? And how does Ubit compare to Ned, fast and bahria?
