Remember what did i say theoraticaly it should perform equal to 4870 because both have same no of SPUS and it is the most main thing!

ohh....u got ur processor overclocker to 36.Ghz....thats what doing the work :)
I would luv to hav overclocked it to 36.Ghz but sadly i can't :frown:.

I m getting 46 FPS at 1280 x 1024 with AA on coz
1. My processor is overclocked
2. And i've got virtually 4870 as compared to your 4850.

@shujaswati: Bro if i'm not mistaking ur intel 975xbx2 does support overclocking through bios then why u don't giv it a try coz u can easily overclock your processor past 3Ghz

Hi all.

I Own the same card. I bought the last piece and since after that its still out of stock. I actually got lucky and convinced them to arrange the last piece.
The card is great runs with great temperature as well as frame rate but as my cpu is not so powerful enough (e4400) therefore games like crysis warhead and gta 4 bottle neck the frames around 20-30 fps. Rest assured a 600w psu is more than enough. All i need is overclocking or a new faster core2quad cpu.

@imtiaz: i've seen 3 people now including myself who were told by czone that they sold the last piece to them.

@mave3: Thanx bro. And yes after seeing some benchies of GTX260 and GTS250 i've come to the conclusion that palit 4850 has the best price to performance ratio and in some cases it even beats GTX260.

@Every member: Guys i overclocked it to 4870 clocks and then ran a few game benchies for crysis and farcry 2 and it got only 2-3 more avg FPS than at stock, so is it the case of processor bottlenecking the gpu or the 2-3 FPS increase is normal?

well its just normal i guess ... but check those games which r dualcore/core2duo optimized ...
heavy games n quadcore optimized will not give u complete picture
but since ur e5200 is @ 3.7 so i dnt think its ur cpu ... its just either ur running games which r already very demanding like crysis etc ...

try cod5 or cod4 that will give u a clear picture ... dnt bench just crysis or farcry2 or gta4 ...
i am sure overclcoking to 4870 will give on avg 8 to 10 fps difference ... some times even higher and always bench min at 1280x1024

Hmm i'll benchmark COD4 and COD5 and will post the results soon. Between at overclocked speeds i benchmarked farcry2 and crysis at 1440 x 900 resolution and got 2-3 more avg FPS. So i will benchmark COD4 and COD5 at the same resolution

see ur self u have benched really gpu intensive games and some how cpu intensive as well
so a gpu overclock will not do much in these games cause they r already very demanding and esp crysis WH is really a benchpress for rv770 or gt9xx n even gt200 to some extent (260gtx n lower)

so COD4 n COD5 HAWX hmm prince of persia latest one ... fear2 ... hmm WIC Burnout paradise ... there r so many names!!!

simply run fraps in most intensive or crowded place press f11 i guess to run benchmark
when ur getting lots of people explosions vehicle movement clouds dust etc at that time run the benchmark from fraps and also take a snapshot so that people might understand as at what point ur running that benche
also take three or 5 readings and make an average of them .. i know it is a painful thing :) but just to see the real benefit from ur overclcok in games ull need to do this
also run vantage just vantage with ur 4870 clocks on ur 4850 that gpu score n p score will be a clear indication of ur gpu true potential!

i calculated the price to performance ratio on a few cards inclusive of this card...according to my calculations the 9600gso was taken as a base card the 9600gt provided higher performance for lower dollars, the same went for the 9800gt but when it came to the 4850 a 88% increase in performance came at a 100% increase in price and that made me think....nyways dis card has one thing going for it...its looks :)
oh guys btw gt 250 wasnt in my tests but in thg charts it does have higher overall fps combined then the 4850...wid da sonic variant id assume the gap to equal and at that point the decission is ours...the physx part of the equation cannot be ignored:)

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
