I cheked the 3dmark06 thread and i came to the conclusion that firstly it favors the nvidia cards and secondly it's much more dependent on the quad core processors.

yaar 3dmark06 score is just normal, nothing impressive.

i have E5200, and i get around 12,600 on Vista.

On XP, score will be quite higher.

I've installed the latest drivers already b4 benchmarking. But again i would say that 3dmark06 is nvidia and processor dependant

temps are almost the same as b4 overclocking and i used the overdrive feature of catalyst, i directly puled the slidebars from 700 to 750 for the core and 900 to 950 for the memory and these were the maximum allowed in catalyst and didn't hav any problem in overclocking whatsoever, i'm sure it can go way ahead.

I also think that it's a down clocked HD4870, coz i overclocked this card upto the levels of 4870 and believe me it was too easy to overclock it upto that level. Didn't try going higher coz i overclocked it through catalyist overdrive and i maxed it out. And i think it has got the potential to go even higher than 4870.

Baki, how about direct comparison with GTS 250, anyone with GTS 250 plz. share ur Benchamarking results.

I want to buy GPU next week, however if its really gud, then one can wait for stock to come, otherwise EVGA GTS250 to available hai.

yar what i've observed from 3dmark scores thread that nvidia is always ahead in this benchmark and processor is also a major factor in this benchmarks, what is needed is gaming benchmarks that will giv us a fair idea.

^Mave_3 has the GTS 250, His score with the Q8200 was around 16k i think... He has posted it on the 3D MARK 06 thread... Check that out.
Good choice there babar. Scores and frame are good.

Nvidia takes alot of advantage with PhysicsX.. if anyone is willing to disable and then post the benchies, we'll get a retty good idea.
