It is a waste.GTX 980 is best overclocking card in the history of DGPUs.
Even if you overclock GTX 980 Ti with max vcore still it will throttle after 20 to 30 mins.
yes i have heard and seen the throttling problem , i have dumped the idea for now -maybe when there prices goes down

No, not yet. [MENTION=33834]Arkonov[/MENTION] got me interested in playing MGS series first such as previous game via PS2 Emulator and then watch some gameplay videos and then enjoy MGS V in all it's glory so I like the storyline even better.
So far I have been able to avoid my urge to play MGS V directly but as soon as I am free I will get on it right away with MGS series and YouTube videos and then InshaAllah MGS V
It's safe, yes. I just keep it there to avoid it from the dust and zinc which can be caused over time but it's really no biggie so you're fine even if you don't have those protective caps on it.
I'm seriously considering second 980 Ti for SLI now. As soon as I manage some time I'll try MGS V and see how well optimized it is and if I need another card for 4K gaming if it's anything like Witcher 3 that brought even my 980 Ti to it's knees in 4K everything maxed out.
Alternatively, I'll be just getting it to play most of the modern games at constant 60fps. So many factors are there for me to decide in it right now so I can't make up my mind .. lol. Maybe I'll just wake up one day, call Ease Tec or Aamir (our local Galaxy guy) and tell them to arrange another Gigabyte G1 Gaming 980 Ti for me

Sick!!! Did you get a 1440p monitor already or did you tinker the settings in GeForce Experience? I will be buying a sick ass Ultrawide Curved 1440p gaming monitor with IPS Panel and 100hz or more pretty soon, you'll like it!
Since we're far away from 4K going above 60hz I want to enjoy the beauty of more than 60hz and 1440p will be the best spot matched with Ultrawide AND Curved. Most likely early next year when those monitors become available or maybe even before that, let's see!
Not interested in MSi or EVGA one hommes, price is not that much cheaper than Gigabyte anyway and I'd rather buy something that local people will happily buy with official local warranty. I gotta make sure the resale value won't be affected, ya know? After all, you and me will be jumping on Pascal when it comes out anyway
980 Ti is simply the best card out there right now to say the least even with all it's flaws in the press lately, simple as that. I bought it for it's sheer performance and I'm getting every bit out of it and I don't care how it will perform next year because I won't have this with me next year anyway as I'll upgrade to Pascal by then InshaAllah.
no i am tinkering for now ---strange that shadow of mordor runs well on 4k dsr ---wonder why the other games ..emm i think i have to get a dvi to hdmi cable i have it will try to see if it solves my res issue --coz at 1440p my screen size goes shrinks ----emm strange will see if i can do some thing about it ---

That's weird, I tried DSR on my LG Ultrawide monitor but I don't play games on it anymore and since it's 60hz and not above I don't want to play games on it anyway when I have a 4K monitor lol. I never had any issues with DSR on my other monitor and I can't think of doing DSR on my already 4K monitor since a single 980 Ti can't do 60fps in all modern games at all, but ... SLI might change that :spiteful:

kidding, I'm sure processors will come in it's time as it might be shorted from there but it's not like Intel only fulfills USA/CA first and then cater to other countries, they send out processors in waves depending on their marketing material so even if it runs out from States you might still find them available over here if they have already decided to send it at certain date unless they're having manufacturing issues. Stock running out always happens so I wouldn't be worried about that however the fact that these mobos are coming tells you that processors aren't that far away either oh and good to know about ASUS boards as ROG is my preferred choice and if I make a movie I might go with Gigabyte this time but most likely sticking with ASUS ROG anyway.I already game on 4K and have been for almost a year now on two different monitors, take a look at these two threads: http://www.pakgamers.com/forums/f139/[unboxing-review]-samsung-28-u28d590-214982/ and http://www.pakgamers.com/forums/f139/[unboxing]-4k-g-sync-gaming-220718/
As you can see currently my 4K monitor is equipped with G-Sync so yes it can do wonders and as for fps, it depends. I am doing average fps of 50 on Batman Arkham Knight after the latest patch that removed the 30 FPS cap and Witcher 3 was 35-40fps everything set to Ultra and maxed out in all games with few exceptions where I turn off anti-aliasing as it's not needed for 4K however for Batman I even have that turned on and it works great and I had AA turned on with Witcher 3 as well just so you know.
So yeah, 980 Ti cannot do 60fps constant at most new games but games like BF4 can go beyond 60fps in 4K .. I've been getting 80-90fps in latest Night Maps and that was a huge boost to say the least but that seems to be only in night maps lol. I am considering 980 Ti SLI for constant 60fps but even if I go with that I will be selling them earlier next year in the favor of Pascal for true single card 4K gaming but as for right now 980 Ti is a beast for 4K gaming to say the least for a single card, just simply amazing.

As date comes near, I kinda have the itch to upgrade to Skylake now as well even though there won't be any performance for me haha.
