bought the ASUS ROG G751 yesterday with the following config:

Intel Core i7-4710HQ 2.50GHz
16GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX970M with 3GB GDDR5
17.3" 16:9 IPS FHD (1920x1080) anti-glare
2 x 1tb hybrid disks
Blue-ray writer
802.11ac Wireless LAN
Bluetooth 4.0
Gigabit LAN
HD webcam
Card reader
4 x USB 3.0
1 x Thunderbolt
1 x VGA
1 x HDMI
Backlit keyboard
Windows 8.1 x64

Update: have placed an order for Samsung 850 PRO 512GB SSD and bought a optical bay caddy..will remove the bluray writer, move one of the 1tb in it and replace the boot 1tb with the 850 pro ssd..so I will end up with a 512GB SSD and 2 x 1 tb hybrid drives :clap

unboxing :)

thanks a lot everyone..I am based in Qatar and bought it locally. There was another configuration available of this laptop with a 1tb+256gb SSD but I opted for the 2x1tb hybrid as I will be using this laptop for photo and video editing and have several GBs of media files..have several terabytes of external disks so was looking for an internal bigger storage for my work.

Hybrid drives copy frequently used data on the SSD section of the drive which boost the boot process and loading of frequently used programs..the drive overall performs like a normal mechanical drive but bootup and running frequently used apps is pretty fast.

I do photography as a hobby and edit videos (mostly GoPro) of my other hobby (auto racing)..two images of my current toy as a bonus ;)
