[UNBOXING] ASUS EAH5850 Voltage Tweak

After alot of wait, FINALLY i got my hands on ASUS 5850.
I wanted to buy a new one but couldn't find any ASUS or MSI in Hafeez Center so bought a used one from fellow PG member (Guys please dont ask me price).

A very good packing, i am impressed

I already had my card installed so here are some pics of 5850 installed in my CM690

Overclocking​

Here is a GPUz screen shot

After testing and overclocking this card i concluded that i made a very good choice buying 5850 that too from ASUS. It can be easily OCed to 900Mhz Core and 1150 Memory with stock volltage.

Due to shortage of time i haven't OCed it to 1000Mhz on core yet, will do it in near future INSHALLAH.

I couldn't find any benchmark tool for this game so i used FRAPS to record FPS.

Average: 55 FPS
Minimum: 41 FPS

CoD: Modern Warfare 2

Average: 55FPS

Assassins Creed 2

Highest possible detail at 1920x1080

Temperatures​

Fan Profile

Stock fan speeds were not satisfactory at least for me. So i adjusted fan speeds according to my likings

Stock Clocks

Idle: 38C
Load: 56-58C

Idle temps went as low as 33C last night. My GTS250 used to idle at 38C in winters.

900/1150

Idle: 39C
Load: 60C

Final Words​

I am glad that i bought 5850 that too from ASUS. A very good overclocker, runs really cool. Performance is almost 250% of my GTS250. A worthy upgrade and money well spent.
