The rumors were true. Leading into this years San Diego Comic-Con, Capcom has confirmed Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 for a November launch on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Originally released in February, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is being overhauled for the Ultimate edition with a dozen new characters, eight new stages, and new modes. The new cast has yet to be fully revealed, but Hawkeye and Ghost Rider will join the Marvel stable, while Ghosts 'n Goblins gargoyle Firebrand and fan favorite Strider Hiryu will be added to Capcom's side.

Beyond those additions, Capcom is promising tweaks to the game's fighting system, and enhancements to its online functionality. Specifically, the game will include a spectator mode so players waiting for their turn in a group fight can watch the current match live instead of settling for a placeholder animation of gamer cards bumping into one another. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will sell for $40.

As PG's main MvC hype generator (before you) I'm sure as hell going to get this.
Excited for the buffs for the main cast more than the new characters. Did you check out Ryu's new stuff? He's bananas.
Also, is it just me or does the game looked zoomed in/lower res to remove the slowdown? New HUD looks ugly to me as well.

@amirbhai: What I would like a lot more is NOT to pwn you! Fighting games are no fun without competition, it makes you get better, learn new tricks, develop your game. Learn to read opponents better. As it is now, I may be "beating" people, but it's more because nobody can finish a combo properly Thing I loved about our Tekken group, was the eagerness everyone had to play. Everyone's game got better, people were trying new characters, better juggles, new mix-ups.

Bottomline: Not enough people at PG seem to like MVC3 enough to actually play it competitively. And the stereo-typing against the game is borderline stupid. The game is Mashy? Cheap? Unbalanced? It's the main-game at EVO this year, folks. I think pros would know whether a game is worth playing.

I guess most people here just can't get their head around it.
This game just keeps on giving. I'm spending about 20 hours each week just messing about in training mode. I also play my friends for a few hours every couple of days.
Just today I learned that you can loop Spidey's web throw reset.

Nice tech, just wesker or any OTG? Wesker has the fastest so he can do some stuff others can't.

UMVC3: Updates
- X-factor tweaking: done in air and other tweaks they said they’re working on

- All original MvC3 characters being rebalanced with new moves/properties to better flesh out the roster

- More robust single player experience, including more endings

- More artistic approach to look more like a comic book
