shit man no instalment plans for 20mb wth 20mb is more than enough.. i guess 30mb it is than, ptcl is seriously crapping up on me man, i think i just might do this with instalment plan... heard good things for this

so single band ont cant upgrade to 70 or 100mb later on correct ? since they got this UNIT purchased they gotta do another purchase for dual band if they want 70 or above packages.

That's just for for WiFi, single band WiFi or dual band WiFi. You can still get the other packages on the single band ONT. If you want a improve WiFi later on, slap on a WiFi router.

this is strange they said they have it ....how will they start operations here if there is no fiber -

i wanted to know is it better to go for VDSL2 , as i think the damn exchange has teh card now - they are not able to config the damn routers since 2 months or so thats what they are saying , whats the max stable speeds i can get on vdsl2
also are the pings better then normal dsl.

They will start laying fiber in the coming weeks.

VDSL2 is better if your stats are good and if your stats are good then you can achieve up to 100mbps speeds (with optimal line conditions that is). Latency is be similar to that of DSL.

Got a call from Transworld today saying the internet installation will be done on the 28 of this month they take too much time in installation any reasons why any idea what modem are they providing o I am in Karachi by the way.

Much better than PTCL DSL, support is decent as well. Biggest issue for me was the installation time.

What is the Installation time and why is it so high, any idea? Since they don't have that much clients right now i'm not sure why is the Installation time this high!!Also, I'm hoping its better than Fiberlink atleast.

It took 6-7 weeks in my case because fiber-optic wasn't laid till the front of my house so that took time + DHA administration was being a PITA with their superdooper efficiency and work ethics.

This was in Islamabad mind you, situation is a lot better in Karachi AFAIK. [MENTION=28]USUF[/MENTION]

By the way, lads over to the next streets already got deployed, some waiting so i'm guessing it wouldn't be a Fiber issue here, just normal delay if it were. I personally think they're lazy in deployment. Why wouldn't one want to complete his work and get on with it.!?!?

They promised me 14 days as well, took a month though. But very satisfied after that, especially the customer services, very swift on that regard. They reply to your emails in like 10 minutes and usually the issue is solved in a day. This is lahore im talking about btw.
