Guys I need help, I have got this god damn message on my screen.
So how do I get rid of it? It was working fine and just today it happened I left my PC for like 15mins and went on hibernate and when I resumed I saw this message on my screen.

Installed it last 2 weeks ago, and wasn't aware of the goddamn update that checks for authentication. The updates were downloaded and installed on the very first day, after that I disabled it. But the damage was done and the KB971033 was already installed. I removed it and restarted and boom I get a message about counterfeit windows when I turn it back on.

Is there anyway to remove it without reinstalling? Tried and tested method?

P.S. if you are wondering its windows 7

Yes just run WAT remover and it'll be *poof* gone. I have also installed this update by mistake in the past and by using WAT remover i got rid of it.

Well I was able to change themes even when I had that authentication error.

And everything is working fine now.

Don't that you have installed win 7 by now or not, but for future use consider win7loader as an option.

if you guys want to install updates for windows 7 you can
but before doing so select each update and read its description some updates detect your counterfeit copy of windows(its stated there)
and disable automatic updates do it manually...
