I've heard that the next Witcher game might have Eskel as the protag. And since he doesn't have any novels written for him, only short backstories, the dev team can possibly make up their own story for the next Witcher games.

Alot of people might not know this but CDPR isn't simply retelling the story as is in the books. They are using the lore as inspiration to tell their own stories.

Ciri seems like an obvious choice as the protagonist for a new Witcher game to me. But that will prolly take forever since their next big project is Cyberpunk 2077.

Wow, that patch leaves very little to be desired in terms of an already thin-list of improvements. GG CDPR!

EDIT: I don't want another Witcher game unless they can make a more memorable protagonist. 2 months ago I didn't know jack about Geralt, but now I'm sure I won't forget his charismatic personality and amazing sense of humor for many years to come. And this is my number 1 reason, the others are almost just as important. Almost.

I don't think CDPR would go with Ciri considering how OP she is in Witcher 3. If they somehow take away her OPness, then definitely Ciri could be the next protag. But as it stands it seems highly unlikely that they'll go with Ciri.

Really enjoying witcher 3....Doing every quest....It's been a long time since i played a lone character ad exploring...These days there is always a walking tutorial with us or some cases on radio....it's a beautiful game...all i do is explore....loving it on my ps4

Yes I meant that the Witcher games continue Geralts story from where Andrzej Sapkowaski left. I read that when I was search for the novels. Have all the novels' english version downloaded. Pity I don't have the time to read.

False alarm guys, the update is not 1.07 update

That's an update of our artpack (artbook, soundtrack, map, manual, wallpapers etc.). You can check them out by going to: Properties (from Library view)->Local files->Browse local files. Files are in main game folder.

Update might probably not be out until next week. At most we are going to receive extra information about the update, because the dev said that they haven't revealed the entirety of patch notes.

I just played through the battle at Kaer Morhen. It is probably the best battle scene I've ever played in a game. Some new mechanics like Triss throwing sunstrikes Invoker style from above while playing as Ciri was epic. The cinematics were wonderfully created as well. The start of the battle was also good and closing the rifts in the wilderness, something which Dragon Age Inquisition should have excelled at, created the initial tension well.

The Witcher guys have likely hired top level directors because from what I've seen in the battle, scenes of that magnitude cannot be created by mere 'medium' level devs like CDPR.

This is downright the best game I've played this decade. Better than Xenoblade even (which was previously my GOAT).

Loved every single moment of the game. The main story and quests were amazing but the side quests and contracts were even better.


The sad thing actually is that we get year after year releases of pathetic games like Assasins Creed and yet we'll not be able to play any more Geralt.

Well the most kickass quests are yet to come then but I would say around 25 to 30 percent is left.
