Excuse me while i go cry over my 7 year old Xbox 360 not being able to handle bettter textures, 1080p resolution, better AA and 60 fps gameplay.

IF it cannot handle Better Textures and 1080P Resolution along with better AA then why the hell is [MENTION=218]CerebralTiger[/MENTION] comparing the Console Version to the PC Version

Khud compare start karo aur jab console version halka paray PC kay samnay to 7 Year Old Xbox 360 wali argument utha lo (sm1)

For me its like this:

Resolution.
Textures/Anti-Aliasing.
Lightning.
Draw Distance.
Shadows.
Tessellation.
3D (for the future!)

Its a fantastic achievement that X360 version has amazing lightening and holds 30 FPS. But I am merely saying the obvious that PC normal version looks much better than X360 enhanced version. I am just dying to download that 11 GB content pack to give the graphics that major boost. Shit load of Screenies will follow soon in 3 to 5 days.

lol your lowest preference is in fact my greatest. It just so happens that The Witcher 2 looks great in stereoscopic 3D. One of the more impressive aspects of the game, for me.

Also, what do you mean by 'for the future'?

Sure, we know the EE is also being offered as a free update for PC but that is not the point here.

The point to note here is:

Xbox 360 has improved art + better lighting so far. A lot of guys have already finished it on Xbox 360. I have not yet seen any PC guy talking about playing the EE edition so far.

Thats a given and a much needed improvement
The extent of the improvement will have to be judged based on PC Normal vs PC EE

The X360 version is a freakin' SUB-HD game.

I take back everything I said earlier. This is a mediocre port. CDP should've compromised other stuff in order to retain a 1280x720 framebuffer.

There is a difference of ~100,000 Pixels between 1280X720 and 1200X670

There is a difference of ~1,000,000 Pixels YES ONE FREAKIN MILLION between 1920X1080 and 1280X720

Thats 10 Times the difference which was brushed aside for Superior Lighting -.-

cuz 40 pixels short doesn't suddenly make it a bad looking game

ps. seems necro was right, he told me after seeing the original images that it looked a bit squished vertically, the res is 40 pixels short vertical. keen eye.

Not 40. Way more actually. Told ja it looks too blurry for 720p.

It does change a 'pretty good port' into a 'mediocre' according to some people

More games with dynamic shadows and real-time time lighting end up being sub-HD on consoles to compensate (Crysis 2, Halo Reach, Alan Wake (excluding American Nightmare I believe), Resistance 3 and so on). Thats the price even some of the most experienced devs had to pay.

There's also some horizontal upscale. I'm guessing the actual pixels are somewhere close to the higher 1100s. Still awaiting a confirmation on this.

Ofcourse when calling 1280X720 a shit resolution compared to 1920X1080 because of 1 Mega Pixel Difference he comes out all guns blazing that "Super Lighting" and "Art" in Case of Witcher2 and some other Artistic Texture Mumbo Jumbo in case of UC3 outweighs a 1 Mega Pixel Difference

Suppose the resolution is 1190x670, then that would mean a total pixel count of 797,300. Compared to 720p, that's a difference of 124K pixels. It may seem measly to you, but based on HD standards, it isn't.

It's not hypocrisy dude, it's all about maintaining a standard. When I said that I'd take superior lighting and improved assets over 1080p/AA/AF, I was not aware of the sub-par resolution. There is a minimum acceptable threshold resolution for HD, and that is 720p. Anything below this is not recognized as 'High Definition'. It's as simple as that.
