Actually guys, let me tell you something.
Meego is going to come out on April 2011, there is a long time to go.Even the Nokia N9 which is to be launched soon wont have the real Meego, it will have Meego Harmattan.
Secondly Meego 1.1 for the Nokia N900 has been released, its not final, its just for testing. If anyone with a n900 wants to try it out, they can visit the meego website. With the PR 1.3 firmware which has u-boot,you can easily dual boot between Maemo 5 and Meego. But you will need a MicroSD card, minimum 2gb and if possible Class 6.
Final version of Meego for N900 will also come out in April 2011.According to the developers by then Meego will be complete.
I suggest this thread to be merged with the Maemo thread, Create a separate thread for Symbian.
Symbian^3 ha failed very bad, there was hardly something new in it and it looks dated out.Plus Nokia can not update older phones to new operating systems simply because the old phones can not run they new ones. They are not that powerfull.Only the N900 is capable of running any operating system and thats because it can easily overclock to 900mhz.
Follow maemo.org for latest news and update.Websites like GSMArena don't know the real deal. They just copy paste stuff from other sites. There is a whole forum over there which is discussing over Meego.
