Did anyone actually get the connection? Like ONT installed and all? Lineman said no connections just wires to some houses.

Matlab maira hai k connection ka faida? I mean, without the ONTs, we can't really use it can we, even if it's on.

Pings on 39.40 pool are high again, for Europe at least.

Europe (AWS) is around 280-300 ms.

Singapore meanwhile is perfectly fine at 90-100 ms.

getting 300-330 ping for Europe on 39.35 pool

only for officer colony for now they r installing and connection will be ON after 2 to 3 days of installation.

I found the perfect router but my friend doesn't have any space left or I'd have bought it (Nighthawk AC1750 for 11k).

Mostly WiFi. It has gigabit LAN so performance on that is fine.

WiFi is garbage tho. Shit range, only 2.4 GHz.

Also, if there's a fault, either with the ONT, or at the backend, rectification time on Alcatel equipment is slow since the support from the vendor kinda sucks.

No single router will be able to fully cover a 3 story house.

Also, the Mi Router is powered by MediaTek internals, not exactly known for amazing WiFi performance, so I wouldn't go for it.

Hey, I have been using PTCL GPON for almost 5 months now. Lately, i have been experiencing high pings and i think PTCL may even has capped my speed . I am using 15 mpbs connection and the speed i get is around 14.5 mbps. Previously i used to get speed always more than 15 mbps and 1 ms ping. Is anyone else experiencing such situation? That explains it. Connect your PC using an ethernet cable, and then run 4-5 tests and compare the ping and speed.

Right now they are installing the connections and installing the ONT's as well. They will then activate the connection in 3-7 days.
The installation guy did tell me that it could be done tomorrow or it might take upwards of 2 weeks even as it is not yet decided when they will start activating the connections.
I suppose they might be setting up everything at the exchange right now and as soon as it's ready they'll activate the connections for use.
They installed all the wiring and mounted the ONT at my house but will splice the fiber cable into that tiny box and install the drop wire (or whatever it's called) tomorrow morning.
After that it's just a matter of time before they configure the connection at the backend.
The guy told me mine is the 5th connection they've installed so it is very early to be expecting everything to just work in a days time.
He told me they'll test everything on our lines first, see how everything works out and configure everything properly.

I'll post some pictures in a little bit once my phone is charged.

I would stay away from the Mi Router. I used it for a few days and was disappointed though on my network there is a lot of internal video streaming over the wifi. I have disabled the wifi on my huawei Ont as that is of now use and have 2 Netgear R6700s on both floors to cover around 3800sqft of space. These are giving me excellent streaming results over the network as well along with covering all the space. I would suggest to disable the wifi on the ONT and go with atleast a dual band router. A big no no for Mi router though.

AOA. Right now Transworld is offering free installation of its GPON services in area. The main confusion is that I PTCL has also laid its fiber cables but are not taking any orders. Currently I am using PTCL 15 mbps VDSL. Can anyone give me an opinion which is the better option Transworld or PTCL ???

Netgear routers usually have the model numbers as Rxxxx.

The first one that comes to mind is the R6400, which retails for about 100 USD, so 11-12k isn't a bad price.

Is it that or an older model?

DW they will come bcoz abhi in par load nahin hai only officer colony mein laga rahay hain after one week basti mein bhi start karein gain magr mere khayal mein connection sab kay aik saath start ON karein gain
