Attenuation is off the charts. Is a rat chewing on your phone line or are you 200 kilometers away from the DP?

The exchange is indeed far away (These fucks still don't have FTTC or FTTP SMH) so on a good line with 10mb, I'd get around 35db attenuation and around 8-12db SNR downstream. Which is stable and does work. Worked for me for a month before my I started getting disconnections as the rains came, My friend, however, did not since his "dabbi" is different from mine and it got changed a few months ago. We both live on the same street btw. He hasn't had a problem since he got 10mb apart from the lower SNR the past few weeks but that was fixed a couple of days ago. Generally stable 10mb. My story is different though... The lineman told me my line up until the pole is perfectly fine soo... I'm stuck.

Do you have internal wiring in your house or does the line come directly from outside to your splitter / modem?

So the pole is just outside my house. From there it comes to the roof and then down to the ADSL splitter and afterward my modem. The lineman has come to check it several times over the past 2 months and he told me that my line after the pole was fine. After the pole, it doesn't even have any joints or anything.

P.S: The only response I got for my tweet to [MENTION=24169]ptcl[/MENTION]cares was "We are working on your issue and an early resolution will be ensured." and nor have I gotten any reply to the email I sent to [email protected].

Have you tried a different splitter or tried going without the splitter? Skipping the phone line and plugging directly into the modem.

YES! The first thing I tried after a week of my internet being basically dead. As for the first 2 weeks my internet we actually dead. Zero Speed. Only after a lot of complaining did I start getting 1-2mb speeds. after which the lineman told me that it won't get better because of the "dabbi" on the pole being fucked.

People having high pings: you can also try Outfox, it's amazing software just like WTFast/Kill-ping. Lowers my ping from 260 to 160 on Fortnite.

dont know about rainbow six siege but in battlefield i get 140-145 eu based servers

Any one else getting connection issues on ptcl, the modem dsl light is on, but cant connect to internet, also can't login to modem setting, did a couple of restarts on pc and router but still no internet

Called the customer support. They have no idea about the ping obviously. However, this time the representative went to a new low by trying to convince me that my SNR margin was too HIGH (24.5) and it should be around 10 and that is what is causing the problems xP I wonder what is the criteria to get hired in ptcl.
SNR is pretty stable. I even avoided the splitter and connected the router directly. Any help anyone?

What was wrong with PTCL? Landline was dead since hours and even 1218 was going busy tone.

Whatever anyone says on the helpline just launch complaint for High Pings and it will resolve it self. I have done this multiple times and this works. People on helpline have started taking complaints for high pings now. And once you log a complaint never let it close unless your issue gets resolved.

Hmmm same here that could be the reason since couple of days experiencing slow speed too . Line stats are also good.
