but ptcl says that maximum upload speed if all packages is 1.4MB which is equal to 160KB to 180KB.
Then how can 8MB connection gets 210KB upload?

The usual ptcl 5k a month. upload is the same at 8 or 12, but my download varies. right now its a bit slow. On torrents ive seen it hit 1.4 MBps

i have an old 3.1 mbps ptcl evo lying around(about 5-6 years old) and most probably it is not even active because i havent used it in years, so i was thinking about upgrading to charji evo for 1k. the problem is i have lost its box(so i have lost its mdn number) and when i opened the back cover of evo usb i was only able to find its ESN number and no mdn number. so will ptcl accept esn number instead of mdn number?

Not sure if the software bundled with it shows the MDN, but try.
Plug it in, open the software and see the inbox, it'll show messages of when you recharged, I think those contain the MDN.

I would kill for higher upload speed, since 8Mbps/1Mbps just doesn't cut it anymore.

Would VDSL require a new wire all the way from the ONU to the DP Box or just internal wiring of the house needs to be changed?

No new wiring, just some 'stuff' at the ONU/MSAG and the distance needs to <1km from ONU for it to work well. I am ~800m out and can get around 25mbps down and 6mbps up.

According to Google maps, I am 550m from my ONU. This should be good. Let me ask them today.

How are your pings and what modem have they given for VDSL?
