It's the 1st... and I am pretty sure that Fiber has been deployed completely in Officers Colony. They just need to activate it. Maybe they are waiting on other areas to finish so they can do it all in one go? regardless, I want my Fiber connection NOW!

But the pipes are empty.. Or maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing. No idea what to look for to be honest.

Nope. Greyfreak is right, they will start the connections when all areas will be covered.

If it is like stormfiber then they would start laying fiber in the pipes a week or 2 before starting the service. That's what Stormfiber did in Peshawar.

Just like every other PTCL exchange. They will rarely (if ever) answer the customers phone calls.

The only way to get through to the exchange is by having the mobile number of someone who works there.

Still waiting for PTCL GPON. Although OPTIX and TES are available in my area, I will still go for PTCL GPON as they will migrate my connection at a very lower rate.

this is the ping im getting now, https://imgur.com/qUvjQHe however the thing that sucks is that if someone even slightly uses the internet the ping jumps up to 300-500 and if someone uploads something it jumps up to 1000-1500. i thinkk its an issue only with adsl

Net was sync'd at 200kbps all night, phone dead.

Just checked and phone is alive.. and net is back to full speed. All this in one night.

I was speaking to my lineman just now and he said they said they would but it doesn't appear likely. Apparently this date was forced out by that counselor who owns Palace Bakers :tv: He wanted to make a formal announcement to score some points, wanted fiber installed in his home first.

UPDATE: Spoke to a tech guy from the exchange. 10th it is. I asked him idher pehlay. Also gave lineman a blue note :tv:

UPDATE 2: My phone line just got fixed.. and look at this! From 500kbps attainable to 17000kbps. These are the best line stats I've seen here in a long, long time. Damn. Now all I gotta do is get back on fast path (they reset it again).

Moved to fastpath in 2 hours. My line is mashqooq though. Just a minute ago I got dc'd for the first time tonight.. Sync'd at 200kbps.. Then a minute later it disconnected and reconnected and now I'm back to good stats.

I think it would depend on the package you were opting for. I was told by one of the exchange guys that for 25 mbps package they would charge around 2500 PKR migration charges and around 1000 for 15 mbps. One of my friend was migrated free of cost in DHA Phase 4. I live in phase 3 and GPON is yet to be installed at my premises, let us see what will they charge here.
