People forget that there are different taxes in different provinces .people in Punjab pay more ,then sindh and Islamabad people pay less tax as there is only federal tax and no provincial tax.so it’s only logical . Kindly mention your province and city name so that meaningful comparison can be made

I have just got the Bill and its 4030 Rs. For 20Mbps package. I guess PTCL has changed its billing date and due date..all messed up now.

Yeah. Checked with them. Apparently last month's bill payment was not received by them, so they added it to my current bill with LP surcharge. Yet my bank statement shows that the payment was made in full. Furthermore, they added Rs. 1500 for modem replacement charges when I never requested anything of this sort (they weren't added to the bill total though, but were summed in the Internet section).

I have escalated this issue with my bank and PTCL. Hopefully will get resolved soon.

@iNCEPTiON isn't Smart TV free? Or its only free for those who get the device from them?

Smart TV is only free for 5 Mbps+ packages and if you have paid for the set top box upfront. If you are paying for it in installments then you will get charged Rs. 300 monthly.

I haven't gotten the set top box. It doesn't get included in the bill. But I noticed my line package is basic and not freedom. I'm on 20mbps Vdsl so it should be on freedom unlimited by default. I'll ask the helpline.

I'm assuming this issue will exist for the 1st month only due to changeover of package....from next month, line package, etc will be freedom unlimited.

I also have the same issue.

How are you using Smart TV without the STB?

The voice packages are implemented from the 1st of next month (or next billing cycle whichever comes first). So, if you change your package midmonth, it won't get effective until the next billing cycle. In the present case, it will effective from 28-04-2018 (after the due date of last month's bill).

I'm not using smart tv hence I didn't get the set top box. It's just something [MENTION=36166]iNCEPTiON[/MENTION] highlighted that could be the reason for increase in price in my bill. I don't get charged for smart tv as well

I have been on this package since January so I don't think the mid cycle thing applies in my case.

I guess it's because of the difference in tax between RWP/ISB and rest of Punjab. Furthermore I'll confirm from helpline

In Islamabad there is Federal Sales Tax instead of provincial. Difference in bill can be a few percentages not more.

I'm not sure about my distance from MSAG but your MSAG is too far away thats why your line does not support 50mb .

The distance between my house and MSAG is about 200 meters and i still can't even get 20mb. PTCL wiring is f'ed up

Well , You should get your pair checked as well in some cases quality of line do matter . My distance from MSAG is less than 200 kms and the pair which is allocated to me is good . You should get your line checked and pair .

Is PTCL imposing more taxes with the header of Service Charges other than WHT? And that gets me an increase of Rs.800 in overall bill. I used to get Rs.5370 for my 50 MB VDSL and now i got a bill of freaking RS.6050 which is totally pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah it happened somehow. I tweeted at PTCLCares at 6 in the morning. Got a call from 1218 that my issue has been resolved. I pressed 1, as is the routine. However when I checked my line stats, I'm actually on FAST. Miracle.

Weird thing is, I have a DM on twitter from PTCLCares with the typical stupid reply 'Please explain your issue in detail'.
