As per twitter support transform packages are available in my area finally. Also gpon services are available. So should I go for gpon or normal transform package. Rate is same for both except there are around 11000 installation charges for gpon. Is there any noticeable difference between the two? Also can my line support 20mb? As per helpline 20mb charges are 2999 which will be 3350 with tax. Is there any other hidden charges? I am in Islamabad. Tax is less in Islamabad as compared to punjab. Is this true? Get GPON if you can. More reliable and future proof as well.

Your current line won't be able to handle 20 Mbps as your SNR will drop too low and cause stability issues. GPON doesn't have any restrictions like that.

Yes Islamabad has less taxes. I would suggest you for GPON as its Fiber to home and it would be better. Secondly, your line seems to be on the edge lol, your SNR will drop significantly if you get 20Mbps connection.. If I were you, i would have gotten GPON as thats more reliable and will give you better upload speed then VDSL.

They said my exchange is providing gpon services. I doubt that it will be available at my house. My main exchange is Tarlai. So other then gpon i have 10mb option only.

Yes indeed. just ask them if your area has GPON service otherwise just opt for 10Mbps VDSL connection, make sure its VDSL and not ADSL.

ADSL is old technology and is not stable . it would give you only 1Mbps upload speed where as VDSL gives you more upload speed and its alot stable than ADSL.

He should get VDSL and It would work flawlessly. His area cabinets and exchange has been upgraded.
GPON charges are 12,999 precisely.
VDSL transformed packages can be used by simply taking modem to exchange and get it replaced for VDSL & CHange package from CRM.

Lol I just noticed the screenshot you posted is ADSL.

Those line stats will be irrelevant if you get VDSL. You'll have to get a VDSL connection first, at 10 Mbps. Watch the line stats for a week or two and then upgrade if you can after posting a screenshot of them here.

ADSL line stats aren't the same as VDSL so that screenshot doesn't help much.

Today I confirmed from 1236. They told me 20mb bill would be 3350 including taxes. My area comes in Islamabad.

My phone is dead since morning I have to use Zong 4G today for gaming but I cannot stream .. They are laying down new wires from the Cabinet as per the lineman , it will be fixed tomorrow. Hopefully , I will be getting GPON very soon in my area

AoA Guys,

Since morning my phone is completely dead but net n smart tv working with disconnection. (Snr dropped to 6 from 21. Attainable rate went down to 11 mb from 28 mb.)

Earlier whenever phone is dead, net gets down as well. But this time net working but phone is dead


What could be the issue?

Package: 8mb dsl with smart tv.

using ptcl 4mbps adsl/dsl was having great pings in dubai servers like 35 to 40 and all was good but from past 2 weeks having 200 to 300 pings in dubai servers only getting 100 pings in sgp servers well i think before i had different wan default gateway but now i am on 39.50 gateway i think it is because of that any solutions to that and can some one confirm from other wan gateway are they also facing ping problem? there is no issue in speedtest pings or in internet. well have seen many players on ptcl cs go server with decent 20 pings but i am also having huge pings in ptcl own servers. sorry for such a long question i am new.
