Any idea which areas these Transform Packages are available in? I'm in a commercial building in F-5 Islamabad.. We have a GPON line. Wondering if this would be available here.

I already have PTCL connection at home but that is copper to copper connection. When I will get transformed package, I will get new fiber to copper connection for better result.Wow man thats a good news about smart TV , I am desperately waiting for the transformed packages and then get Smart TV installed as well and ditch my cable also ...

VDSL TILL NOW:
I am not having any issues except the upload speed is not crossing 1Mbps , need to get that sorted and ping is high on dubai servers,I am sure when the wire is replaced it would iimprove as well.
The wire will be changed tomorrow IA

I don't know how it works. But my guess is it will not work. If do PTCL would have provide fiber to fiber connection itself.

No dude, that won't work. The DP on your pole would be designed for copper jumpers. You can't hook up fiber cables to it!

what should be the profile for 8MB VDSL for upload . I am getting low upload speed.. Download speed is good enough.

I wanted to check the line stats to see the profile for it. so I can tell dsl guy to set my profile same so i get the required speed
Just call and upgrade your profile to 2mb thats it bro ! You will get 2mb upload . I have faced the same issue few months back when some idiot in my exchanged changed by profile . I was getting 1mb upload speed . When I complaint idiot told me that Sir " Ptcl ke upload speed 1mb he ati hai is zada nai " . It took few days to get my profile updated after I badly insulted them . Call 1218 and asked them to update your upload Line profile .
I did and they said u should get 1Mb speed only , my profile is set to
Downstream : 9215kbps
Upstream : 1093kbps

Webchat too told me tht transform packages are not available in my area but then i talked to them on twitter and on 1236 and both confirmed tht its available in my area. Though i dont live in the same city as urs but my point is tht u should confirm it with the helpline about the availability of packages..
