Hey guys! Ever since last year I have got this 8mb fibre connection I used to get the IP assigned from 39.55.X.X pool.
Then my connection got offline with authentication failure error for like 10 hours on the 3rd of October. Since then I am either getting assigned the IP from 182.185.X.X pool (Gateway: 182.185.128.1) or 182.178.X.X (Gateway: 182.178.128.1).
My line stats are excellent and they are similar to as before this incident.
I used to get over 8mbps on the speedtest and was able to watch 1080p 60fps videos on youtube, with downloads and torrents getting over 1 Mbyte/s.
But now speedtest fluctuates between 5 and 7mbps, even 480p videos are buffering and download speeds have dropped to around 700 Kbyte/s. Even normal browsing sucks and pages get timed out.
I have been using Google DNS since always and also tried Open DNS but that didn't help either.
My guess is that I have been shifted to a very congested DSLAM as the assigned IP suggests.
I have already tried asking PTCLCares guy with no help.
Any advice from you guys and suggestions on how to get this fixed. :tears:

File complain against ptcl on PTA website,I did and ever since that I am getting full 8mb speed whatever the time is.
I was always under the impression that 182.x IPs were reserved for lower speed packages.
Ever since I stopped using 4 Mbps, my IPs are now always 39.40.x instead of being from the 182 pool.

I have a ptcl AMG1312-T10B modem and my net has not been working right since almost a month now. I'm gettin 1-2mb download speed and .10mb upload on speedtest, normally I get between 10-12mb on a 16mb connection. Called them and they said some card or whatever has been changed on your line or some crap and it will be changed back in 48hours. Today they said you are back on 16mb connection but still same crap 1-2mb down speed. I'm trying to check on my modem settings what down/up speed it is configured to but under system status I can only see down/up bandwidth usage bars with percentage ? No numbers, is there any way to check the numbers ? ADSL WAN rate is showing 3090 kbps/204 kbps, is that the speed ?

Your line is configured to be a 3 Mbps connection with 0.2 Mbps upload.
File a complaint for bad line parameters and tell them your line profile is set incorrectly.

Ive been having issues playing games online getting ping spikes. i did a ping test to the router and saw random spikes upto 400 ms on wifi its fine if i connect wired only issues is on wifi never had a problem before only past 3-4 days any idea what the issue is ??
WiFi is always inconsistent when it comes to latency, don't use it for gaming. There is no 'fix' or 'solution' for 2.4GHz WiFi ping spikes unless you throw your microwave out the window, smash all cordless phones and kill your neighbours.
yeah but ive been using it for over a year and never had in issue, its in the same spot everything is the same never had any random ping spikes like this before
New neighbours, cordless phones, any other 2.4GHz conflicting devices, tons of stuff can affect Wi-Fi and that is why it is never recommended if your work requires lower latency.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
