Log into modem.

On the left, click Device Info > Statistics > xDSL

Saying you have the CharJi router is very vague lol, all their new modems have the CharJi logo on them.

Aah the infamous Zyxel one. You'll find it, keep digging and you'll see it somewhere.

The Zyxel modem is the only one that doesn't have that bullshit generic firmware that ALL the other PTCL modems do.
Never owned one, so I'm sorry for not being able to help out in this case.

Has PTCL DSL been really slow for anyone in the evening for the last two days? Its' crawling right now, I'm in Lahore.

I know it's not my line, my line is stable. It's just the speeds I'm getting are awful.

I literally have been going through every single page and haven't been able to find it. I hate how they have designed the interface.

ya for me its too damn slow since last 2 days getting 2-3mb on 12mb ....at night after 2am speeds get back to normal then again same sh*t after 12pm

Only SNR and line profile are needed.

Your line seems quite stable and yes YOU SHOULD be able to upgrade to 8 Mbps and get SmartTV without any issues.

This is exactly the same problem i have. I think ptcl are throttling speeds between 12pm and 12am.

Something weird is going on with my 4mb connection. I can't browse. But I can use Facebook and Tapatalk on my phone. Are any of you guys facing this issue? Weird :S

1. Is it available in certain areas or all over pakistan, though im on Fibre ONU
2. Are the charges different from regular broadband ?

1) Depends how new the ONU is. Sometimes it requires some equipment upgrades to be able to handle a VDSL line.

2) No. Go to the PTCL Hi-speed broadband package page on their website, the charges listed there for 8 Mbps and above are they same for ADSL, VDSL and GPON.

guys i need some help pls : - i need a good modem / router for ptcl 8mb , the ones ptcl have provided are crap - i am having constant issues with them ,
can soem one please recommend some after market modem which i can use which is better then ptcl .

i have 2 ptcl rotuer modems / on 1 it works but i get constant de sync / on the other it works with no issues so i am positive that the modems are crap ...

my snr margin also keeps on going down - it was 16 now its 12 after 10 min ...why is this ..the db ports have been re freshed new lines installed no cuts so thats the issue ---geting tired of constant complaints.

can we get fibre in dha phase 1 rwp --wtf is with ptcl --constant complaints i have to make each week --sighh constant de sync --they are now allowing nayatel warna i would have dumped ptcl long time back ..

line has been repalced from db to my home directly -no connections in between but the snr after a while starts to go down untill de sync - i have 2 lines the problem is only with 1 no -other seems fine no issues .

they say lines are damaged --so wtf should i do about it .

yup i am facing the same issue.
speeds look throttled in LHR between 12pm and 1 am.
