CNIC SIMS and 668 are both showing 1 SIM for Telenor.

I closed it at 11:30, it's now 3. Still hasn't been updated.

Might be a issue with their system. I don't think their IT staff work on weekends either they won't bother looking at the issue. Wait until Monday?

Either that or my first theory was right. I have a feeling he's just blocked the SIM assigned to the number and hasn't disowned the number or disassociated it from the CNIC.

Because the message on disowned SIMs when you call it says 'This is an invalid number', but when calling this one it just says 'The dialed number is barred'.

In my case when i disowned a warid number (when warid was alive) i was told to wait for atleast 8 hours fot the record to be updated then i can issue a new sim

So it might take a while.

11:30 this morning.
It's now 11:30 at night.

The PTA website and 668 both still show 1 SIM for Telenor.
Telenor on Twitter DMs said that on their end it shows as 'disowned'. So I'm really confused. There's no other Telenor numbers on this CNIC because at the franchise when closing the SIM, the representative over there said there's only one Telenor number under your name.

In my case...i disowned ufone sim 2 years back n as soon as csr did he asked to me send sms to 668 to verify n instantly it got removed against my cnic. Last year disowned one zong postpaid MBB sim n it got removed instantly. Might b issue at telenor end or at 668 end w.r.t sync of data

Guys, why there are 2 network names shown of a single network ? I am from sahiwal and I have prepaid jazz sim, for me it says jazz as my network, but on my old sim it says mobilink and there is no jazz network in its search. Also I can't select manually jazz or mobilink, my phone only connects with jazz on auto. I am using unrooted s7 edge.

For prepaid connections, it says Jazz.
For postpaid connections or those with old SIM cards, it says Mobilink.

On network search, sometimes it can say Jazz twice, or Mobilink twice, or Jazz and Mobilink at the same time, but that second network is actually just Warid with a new name.

Confusing stuff I must say. I hope volte will be launched soon, and hoping that video calls to any network will be enabled soon too because it sucks whenever it says that video calls are not supported by the number.

I doubt they'll be implemented - most operators don't really allow it unless you're on the same network.

The same goes for VoIP apps as well - you need to be on the same network to use the features. WhatsApp, for e.g.

i am seeing jazz everywhere even in network search, on my new postpaid sim which i recently got duplicated,
no sign of mobilink whatsoever, i am getting warid 3g though

Yup you're right.

Got a replacement postpaid SIM issued for my grandmother and it says 'Jazz' now.

Btw, Jazz home delivery was a great experience. Hassle free and very quick.

Also, in regards to the SIM disowning thing this is what Telenor said:

I have a strange problem with Jazz 4G...... I am using j7 prime and when I use 2 sims in the phone Jazz in primary slot with LTE/3g/2g option and Zong in 2nd slot with 3g/2g option and when I enable data Jazz 4g icon appear but it won't work i-e Won't browse anything or use whatsapp etc... But if I disable 2nd sim card and just only use jazz then its 4g will work fine with upto 30Mbps speed.... Do anyone have a solution for this????

I have also tried connect.mobilinkworld.com but the result is same.. Change APN name to Jazz
APN to connect.mobilinkworld.com (if postpaid) and jazzconnect.mobilinkworld.com if prepaid.
Authentication type: None
APN type: default,supl

Save the APN. Restart your phone. Tell me if anything changes.

dude these APNs are obselete now, they told me to make a APN named "Jazz" and in apn section insert capital "M"
thats all,
this is for all jazz prepaid/postpaid/data sims/ devices

I think most operators worldwide accept any text to connect to any APN, because it's such a hassle.

I think even if you type ".", it'll connect.
