So today I have to pay my WASA bill which I haven't receieved yet (even today was due date). So I decided to deposit some amount in my easypaisa account (I can also pay bill from my bank's app laikin damagh ne kaam nai kiya). I went to a Telenor franchise near my house for deposit and I was literally shocked when I opened the door of Telenor franchise. It used to be an empty franchise with 1 or 2 customers maximumly. But there were atleast 20-30 people inside that 1 Marla shop and all were standing due to non availability of chairs. There were only two representatives in franchise which were badly failing to serve customers. Than I realized that Telenor has shut down its own S&SC and all customers are rushing towards franchises now. I put "Laanat" on Telenor and its Easypaisa and came out of franchise immediately.

As far as I know there are only 3 active franchises in whole Faisalabad, a third largest city with over 6 Million urban population right now.
[MENTION=63376]shaheerk[/MENTION] is planning to port on Telenor, are you ready to be humiliated on franchises?
[MENTION=36166]iNCEPTiON[/MENTION] what about your port out request? Sat-Sun doesn't count in processing time.

My port out request has been initiated today.. So I wait for 3 more days I guess... I use JazzCash which never gave me problems.. So just stick to Jazzcash.. Its better than easypaisa...

The Zong franchises in Lahore usually are small little dumps with 2-3 csr agents serving.

The csr do not look professional at all and do not look like they have much training to be honest. The serving counters are usually cheap tables.

People are usually standing because they have no where to sit and these so called franchises are small shops where a customer just has enough space to enter. You feel people breathing on you- that is how much crowded they are. There was one franchise where they had a cheap looking couch but that too was covered in plastic wrap! So people had no where to sit as no chairs were available. These places look like they are in 1980's-dust covered.

I have been to quite a few Zong franchises in Lahore. They are usually dirty uninviting places with staff that hardly holds any training or are overworked and underpaid. Crowded and smelly- poorly maintained.

Zong's own company operated customer service centre in Lahore is a much much better place than their Franchises but there is only 1. It is open and well lit and certainly not too crowded. The staff doesn't look much interested however.

So if you think Telenor franchises are bad then don't ever go to a Zong franchise in Lahore!

So if you think Telenor franchises are bad then don't ever go to a Zong franchise in Lahore!

I think all franchises (not service centers - franchises only) suck. Mobilink's franchise in Jinnah Super is cold (not too crowded, if I remember). Zong's franchise in Blue Area (or Aabpara... Don't remember) was crowded. I think they're all alike.

I've never used Easypaisa, but after your experience, I feel sorry for you.

My dad, when he used to work for Telenor, used Easypaisa for a brief moment. I don't know how much more beneficial it would be vs. my bank account though, so that's why...

As for Easypaisa, damn, those guys spam their customers hard, and getting your number off the list was a hellish task (for me). I did, eventually, after emailing Michael Foley back then, and down heads did roll (I sent him a rather angry and frustrated email detailing my experience over the years, and that email circulated fairly quickly amongst their teams).

That's when I realized their customer service was helpful (it wasn't bad before, but I shouldn't have to get in touch with the CEO to complain). Anyway...

I went to the Blue Area S&SC which looked open. When I went inside, there were only a few agents sitting casually on the sofas and chatting. I was a little confused, and a lady appears, asking if I need help. I told her I'd like to port, and she directed me to the F10 or I9 franchises, because the Blue Area center had shut down (and was in the process of winding down).

I go to F10. There were about 9 customers in a small room (thank God it didn't smell...Too bad). I had to wait about 10 or so minutes before my turn eventually came, but the actual porting process was very quick. I was out of that place in another 5 minutes.

I have the 4G Telenor SIM with me. Now, we wait. Wish me luck!

I did, however, wish to be in another franchise at that moment, but I'm sure all franchises are alike. And - they should make a separate counter for Easypaisa queries, and have separate counters (be it all under one roof) for network related queries. But because they've merged the two together, it's a frightening scene.

Edit: my porting request was received 10 minutes after sorting out with the franchise... That was much quicker than expected!

Propakistani.pk is the only source at the moment. Inception beat me to it.

Looks like Zong has way too many customers draining data and it doesn't have the resources to keep providing, so increase price to decrease demand-network less crowded.

Easypaisa doesn't even work half the time.
If I ever get the chance, maybe in March, when I'm off school, I'll port the Telenor number to Zong.
Or might just disown it, don't want anything to do with the 0346 code.

Jazz cash works only on Jazz or Warid numbers. I am using Zong and easypaisa works on all network. But this was my last transaction on easypaisa. My Askari Bank mobile app is working fine. I can withdraw cash from atm without atm card with app as well.
I was just trying to potray condition of Telenor users in franchises and their future. [MENTION=63376]shaheerk[/MENTION] best of luck. You were lucky that you were in Islamabad which is less populated. If there were 9 customers just imagine the condition of franchises in Karachi, Lahore and Faisalabad.
