He was hard-done by in ODIs. Stupid selectors dropped him from the LOI formats on the basis of his Test exploits. Cut short a very promising career.

While I agree to some extent I don't think any bowler in Pakistan has been given as many chances as Sami. He was one of most promising talents when he was new but you can only give someone so many chances on the basis of potential. He has received more than enough chances to translate that potential into performance but failed to do so. A bit like the fast bowling version of Umar Akmal.
