Suggest me Laptop!

Ok guys its time for me to buy laptop! So suggest me a laptop under 500$ budget. Luckily i have someone coming from America in few days so i should be able to import it!

ps: Anybody knows anything about tax on electronics in NewYork?

I am a programmer so will be doing programming on it. No gaming, for gaming i have dedicated pc.

kher, In your budget you might be able to squeeze a hp core i3 sleekbook(like ultrabooks, only cheaper) or a more powerful core i5 normal laptop. have a look at these: $400 to $500 : Laptops, Netbooks : Computers : Micro Center

Finally some suggestions. I have tried to find Zenbook in my budget but no luck yet! I missed Amazon deal for Dell ultrabook How is Lenovo Ideapad? And Acer? Are they reliable?

Other than ultrabooks I will highly recommend the HP probook lineup. Both the design and keyboard is epic.

If somehow i am not able to get Laptop from US my first priority is HP ProBook.

The HP sleekbook corei3 is available at galaxy for 54,000(with local warranty). A friend bought it & is extremely happy with it.

EDIT: this friend of mine actually went to market to buy a probook, but ended up buying the sleekbook over the probook.

Ahan Let me check into that! Thats good news for me. I went 2 weeks ago to buy laptop for a friend i didnt find any sleekbook on Galaxy ISB atleast. We ended up buying Dell 5520.
