Suggest Me a CAMERA???

Ok guys i want to buy a camera but i am lil confused coz i dont know which one to choose. After a lil bit of search i have my eyes on these two babies as i have budget of 10000 to 12000 Rs.
First is CANON DIGITAL POWERSHOT A480 10 MEGAPIXEL. Here is the link.

The picture quality of sony's cameras doesnt even come close to canon's. Id say go for the canon.
