What is wrong with Cooler Master Silent Pro?
Whenever the name Cooler Master arises, all people can think of is the eXtreme series. For a budget user, it wont be such issue.

@Asis! There is a guy named Khurram selling his brand new Corsair VX550W for about 7k i think, do check it out.
If you want to buy a new one, then if you budget allows, buy any one of the listed. Both are 80+ certified and provide much more than just the listed power.

Actuallly I think CM's unreliability is a bit too overhyped here, its not as if everyone who buys CM PSU faces some issue, so you can go with a CM PSU but still, Corsair and Xigmatek are preferred so gett VX550 or 700watt Xigmatek PSU or you can ask alienware when the modular xigi's are arriving and buy one of those?

Alternatively you can also go for Silverstone Strider 500watt PSU available in market for 6k last time I checked.:)

corsair nd Xigmatek quality nd performance is better then Cooler MAster....
CM isnot Reliable....
Brother this is not the case.

Here is a review of CM Silent Pro M600 from jonnyguru. It got a score of 9.

This guy also have reviewed one of the Xigmatek PSU and it got a score of 7.

Seriously, this CM phobia needs to be shed and research be given priority.

I have yet to talk about CM Silent Pro GOLD series (among the best of the best). And the all time trustworthy Cooler Master Real Power PSU series.

^i dont understand why cm is having such bad reviews all of sudden ?
It could be faulty units reaching reviewers. Cooler Master should send pre-tested samples to reviewers.

Or it could be deliberate works of some reviewers to belittle a brand. I find it strange that jonnyguru somehow manages to find an issue even in quality CM PSU. While several other reviewers who often conduct more stressful and better tests do not find such issues.

This is why I never rely on a single source for PSU.

Well for PSU reviews JonnyGuru is best in business.

and whats the point of sending pre-tested samples to reviewers, in fact reviewers should be allowed to pick a PSU of their own choice from retail line for a fair review.

Cooler Master has messed it up pretty bad recently, they sent two sample of GX Series to JonnyGuru and both of them were crap. CM should stick to cases and coolers only imo.

GX series PSU might be bad. However, we should not claim that Cooler Master does not knows how to make good PSU. CM has a history of making great PSU and it has proved this again by launching Silent Pro GOLD series.
