Soul Calibur V |OT| Does you soul still burn?

Making a simple thread this time.

Gameplay:
Traditional Soul Calibur gameplay. Faster than SCIII and SCIV. Almost as fast as SCII. Feels like Soul Calibur I/Soul Calibur II in gameplay.

Brave Edge:
EX moves. Take away 1/2 bar of meter to do a stronger version of a move.

Critical Edge:
Super moves (Think Street Fighter Ultras). Take away 1 bar of meter to combo into a Super move.

Guard Impact:
Parry. Active for a lot of frames. Takes away 1/2 bar of meter. If opponent hits you during GI they are open for a free combo.

Seong Mi-na will be missed, though. Hoping she's made available via future DLC. Kilik used to be like her, but he's a male mimic here. Will have to go back to Mitsurugi or try out Xiba.

Any remaining shreds of historical appropriateness for Soulcalibur V is going right out the window with the first batches of downloadable content for the game, which consists of classic Soul music and crazy new customization items for the game's character creator. Or maybe I'm mistaken, and Hawaiian print patterns and tiger-striped furry costumes have been around for centuries.
Regardless, Namco is dropping three sets of downloadable content for Soulcalibur V in February. Here's how it's going to roll out, butterfly wings, bikinis and all.
Pack 1: Launch Day February 3rd

• Nine exotic customization items including bikinis, wings and face paints
• Original music from Soul Blade and SOULCALIBUR

Pack 2: Valentine’s Day February 14th

• Nine fearsome customization items including breast plate, kimono and animal heads
• Original music from SOULCALIBUR II and III

Pack 3: February 28th

• Nine exclusive customization items including mask, face paint, camouflage and skull
• Original music from SOULCALIBUR IV and SOULCALIBUR: Broken Destiny

Tournament edition? Are you guys talking about my stick? Ive had it for 2 years.

Mani, I sort of agree. Thing is I got it for $65. Games are sold in major stores here for AED 269. Thats for the regular edition. But the person I buy from runs a small mom and pop store and he was giving me regular edition for AED 210 and this collectors edition for AED 240... Just $8 more. So for a price lesser than the normal price of regular edition here, this is a steal.

I would not recommend importing it for $80 + shipping costs.

The online suite is top notch. Better than most fighters I've played. Not only do you have a player card with a picture and a title, you can set your location, including Pakistan. My PSN ID is US but I can set my location in my player card as UAE, Middle East. Instead of just letting you filter lobbies as 'Region: same or Region: Any' you can choose to filter as Region: Asia/Europe/Japan/NA. There are also online rooms where a lot of players can chill and challenge each other (like MK9) but instead of names like Chaosrealm,etc. There rooms are named Dubai, Riyadh, New York, Seoul, etc. So all Dubai players can chill in the Dubai room.

Spectator mode has kick option and text chat. Fuck this shit is good. Netcode is atleast SFIV quality if not better acc. to Sabin (Arturo) and J. Wong, but I'm waiting to play atleast a few people before I write a PG review.

and yeah i thought that there was a fightstick edition like tekken 6 and MK with this too ! guess that isn't the case... anyways ill grab a copy perhaps when our local retailers get it ! cmon, where art thou ppl ! no heavy games importing scene going on here at all

Actually there's a Hori stick (Hori parts) and a Madcatz TE Soul Edition (Sanwa Parts). But the stick in the picture is my SFIV TE stick that I modded with Blazblue art. It doesn't have to anything do with SCV, besides me playing SCV with it. Its just pictured with it.

I ordered the parts from lizardlick.com. I made the art myself and got the print for it, plexiglass cover, and button cuttings from tek innovations (google it)
