Really? Where the hell did they say it? This is Megaton news so i doubt if it is true.

I'm 90% certain I read it somewhere after they announced no BC and the question arose what will happen with gamers with PS3 games. It was said that you can pop the disc in and the game would be tied to your account to play it.

yeah i read it too but gaikai would require ps+ first and yes gaikai would allow you to play ps3 games via its stream function etc.

Yeah, one of the Sony guys did mention something of that sort at the PS4 reveal. Basically, their plan is that once the license on the disc is transferred, you can stream the game to a number of devices via Gaikai, including the Vita and the PS3.

Nice question, never thought of it. But if we take the example of PS+ games being playable by all accounts and not the PS+ one, we can also apply it to the Online MP and assume that it is playable by all accounts.

Chacha, for MP you 'll have to 'sign-in' to PSN, so you will need a PS+ account for that purpose.

As for shared slots on different PS3's (say a shared PS+ account), MP can be played by 1 slot holder at a time.

Awesome. I was worried about my trophies since my main account is NA and my PS+ account will be UK.

What happens if my PS4 gets water spilled on it when being next to say, a water cooler?

There will be some fail-safe measurements I think, but if someone's PS4 gets beaten to death by a GF or stops working for whatever reason, his PS+ account will be lost forever.

If they indeed ARE sticking with PS3 like things, then we can safely say (I hope) that the account cannot be active on more than 2 consoles at the same time, or even one console and afterwards one can deactivate/disable the account on console and move onwards to another PS4.

I understood your question clearly. Since PS4 has this special requirement for online play, it's only logical that PS+ account be mandatory for online play.

@Major, I think Vita has this account restriction in place. The memory card or something gets locked to the first account it's activated on or something.

Vita's account restriction is just a deliberate attempt by Sony to get people to buy more memory card. It is not locked to the system but the memory card.

But if they allow multiple accounts to participate in multiplayer gaming just 'cause one of the accounts on the system is PS+ then it is guaranteed they won't allow that particular PS+ account on another system. Else everyone be sharing PS+ accounts then.

I can't see anyone buying the Xbone from here. At $500, a weaker console with a Kinect heavy stance? Plus no one seems to have the common sense to point out that M$ has got very little first party exclusives and the money hatting will end after a while.

Just wait and see, @Chandoo, @Journeys End are defending the Xbone over here, but when the time comes, they'll be jumping on the PS4 ship. Especially since it probably will not be getting hacked.

I agree. PS4 has a broad advantage this time in terms of hardware and software - games. It should be the obvious choice. Chandoo does it out of habit. I don't think he is buying any console this time around.
