Setting up TP-LINK ADSL modem + router

I'm using PTCL broadband and just bought a new tplink adsl + router TD-W8961ND

I've set it all up, the main line also syncs up, but the modem is not connecting it to the internet.

I've tried everything but I'm unable to find the problem here.

Any suggestions guys on how to make it connect to the internet???

I have the W8951-ND and it's exactly the same as yours, except it has 1 antenna.

I know how you feel bro. Same here.

Is it a problem with the router or PTCL? Mine DC's after every 30 minutes or so.

The rest of the settings are the same
Is it possible that my broadband password has been changed and that is the reason it doesn't connect to the internet?

I've been calling PTCL since yesterday and they have the same excuse that are portal is not activated there's been a problem , we are solving it, as soon as it gets activated we can tell you the password

VPI: 0 and VCI: 103 are for copper lines. VPI: 8 and VCI: 81 are for Fiber Optic/ONU.

phone them and ask for the pass and username... and 8 81 is all you need for fiber... there is nothing more to it.. maybe restart is a couple of times... if it does not resolve then go to the exchange and get your ports refreshed etc(always go to the exchange for quick resolution of problems)

I phoned them alot of times today and yesterday, they are saying that the portal is inactive due to some service work they are doing. thats why they can't give me my username and password.
as for the exchange, too late now, it closes at 5 in the evening. Will go there tomorrow.

which exchange is close to you?? mine is the township exchange and i just jump in the car and go there all the time when there is a problem... there is a computer room where some guys are sitting who maintain the dsl stuff... so they would better tell you everything...

I just got the Password from PTCL and connected it after trying different functions because the default settings were not letting me connect the modem again. Its working perfectly now.

Mine is Mustafa Town. I have no Idea why Canal View's exchange is there, but its just the way it is.

My Exchange is also the same , do you know a DSL guy named Zeeshan, he's a great guy and a friend of mine.
