hey guys...r the xigmatic 400 nd 500watt psu'z that alienware is providing better than cx400

400w is better than cx400 & xigmatek 500w is very good & just costs 500 more than cx400. It provides 37amps on 12v rail.

5770 hawk wud be quit expensive.....
if u dnt find it cheap i say get his or sapphire or msi.....with the fan cooler.....they r much better at cooling than the blower if ur case ventilation is good......if u go with the egg style, try getting one whith the fan is near the ports and with 2 crossfire bridges

Iam upgrading my P4 mainly for gaming....Now my budget is arund 15k only for mobo and cpu i alredy got gpu ati 4650 512mb
now i hav narrowed it down to intel c2d 2.93ghz E7500 and mobo intel DG41RQ.

I got a few quick question before i pull the trigger since my main use is going to be gaming....Will i be able to play to latest games i.e Bad Company 2,COD MW2,Prototype ect....at say med to high settings?
And how abt GTA IV what setting n resolution will be able to play that wit ease...?

P.S Do i need to reinstall my windows after i upgrade my cpu n mobo basically do i gotta format my HDD and do all my stuff all over again?

^ yaar sell your p4 and get these items

processor---e6500
mobo-------asus p5kpl-am
ram---------2gb kingston value ram

e7500 is useless as this processor perform better then e6500 the difference is only in the cache and lable
no other difference in both processors get this processor and get asus mobo bcz intel mobos are good but asus is better as it support oc and from this mobo you can easily oc processor at high rates

Go with the setup sunny suggested you and get 9600gt , and you can play all the games you mentioned at 1280x1024 res with high settings easily..

I don't think that u'll be able to play GTA IV with this setting..If u r able to play it will be at 1024x768- Low settings

I can barely play at low settings with my rig..

you are moving from 9800gt to 5670 ?
its not a worthy purchase
and i suggest you get a used 5750 or gts250 in about 11k
