BTW Hyper 212+ is a nice cooler if you're on budget , But im using V8 and all i can say is the results are awesome...:D

I need to buy a new PC. My budget is 35k - 40k. My requirements :

--- Mostly for development things
--- Must handle simultaneously running softwares like Photoshop, Visual Studio, 3Ds Max, Soft Image, Flash CS5... like Silk
--- Only basic 3D modeling on softwares like 3Ds Max
--- Gaming would be plus but no need; only basic gaming would do just fine
--- Must easily handle multiple OSes

brother as you are not a gamer and your work is totally on graphics and 3d so you need to get a pc with a powerfull processor
go for this setup

processor-------core i5-750--------------------18300---czone
mobo------------intel DP55WB -----------------9500----czone
ram--------------kingston VR 2gb ddr3---------4800----czone
hard-------------wd 500gb WD5000AADS------5000----czone
gpu--------------HIS 4650 512mb---------------5250----galaxy
psu--------------any bulk psu--------------------500
casing-----------simple ATX casing-------------1000
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
total------------------------------------------------44350
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
i think this setup is good for you
i suggest you to buy an asus p55 mobo instead of this intel mobo or asus h55d-pro in 11k if you have budget
as you are not in gaming and only want a pc for work i think this card will do the job well and as its a low power card so you does not need a good psu for this card but on a save hand for core i5 get a branded psu

but i wouldnt recommend a bulk psu cuz IF IF GOD forbid it shorts, well then its bubye to who knows how many components. Atleast stick to a power supply which you know performs well no matter which wattage it is

^ yaar before 2 months the seagate hard was better then the wd harddrive but czone got the latest western digital advance format harddrive at this time this drive have 32mb instead of 16mb and advance format technology and price is also good so it works better then the previous harddrives

@Sunny.. thanks man! You made a great recommendation there... but what if I leave the GPU right now and use the built-in GPU because that would be enough for simple(too simple i should say) 3d modeling... and increase it on RAM to 4GB? Then, in future, I may need to buy a GPU for my PC because my budget is no more than 40K. What do you think?

brother if you are unable to exceed your budget and your work big for a 2gb ram then get this system

mobo--------------------asus P5kpl-am SE------------4500
processor ---------------Q8400------------------------15200
ram----------------------4 gb kingston 800mhz ------8800

the rest of things are okey and for this pc you need to get a good branded psu with atleast 18a on 12v rails
psu is not required but as this processor needs more power so a good psu is better on a save hand
but i suggest you to get i5 system instead of this and increase the ram when you get more cash

i3 is dual core & his main uses are 3dsmax e.t.c which need a good powerful cpu. He has only 2 choices either get core i5 750 or above OR 775 Quads

Well i don't know how much exactly 2 virtual cores perform as compared to 2 physical cores so yeah. . . . so i won't comment :)

Im still with sunny on this.
Get i5 now & then save up 4800 to get another 2gb stick rather then getting a 775 quad now or i3 & u know you'll have to upgrade again later for processor/mobo or both

hmm, yea.. i3 seems to be a good choice!
kamii brother striker is right
you want to do some heavy graphics work on pc so a core i3 is not a good choice
if you does not want to buy external gpu then q8400 is good option
core i3 is a latest technology but its a dual core processor and 4 threads
quad core does not have ht but it has 4 core so it is much better then core i3 and specially for your work it is necessary
and keep one thing in mind that for 3d max visuals you need to get a gpu bcz builtin gpu does not have power to do these types of work
