Am thinking of buying ASUS VENTO Casing...should i go for it or not..?
CM690 is better as it has better airflow.

@burhan i know they arent psu's but thats what im asking do they really have any affect on benchmarks? PERFORMANCE power of the pc? i meant it in that sense!!! unless he has lots of stuff to put in da thing does he really need the expensive casing?
A good casing prolongs life of your system components and provides more headroom for oveclocking, so yes, it is worth spending money on a good casing.

GeForce PCX 9600GT 1GB (256-BITS) DDR- III 18000 (the 1gb counts more over the clock speed increase on a 512mb 8800gt)
9600GT or even 8800GT are not capable to take advantage of 1GB ram. 512mb is the sweet spot for both these cards.

No it's not, specially when you are looking to make some cut downs :). Besides, there is no gain in games due to extra cores.

thinking of saving some money to buy 9800GTX....So plz can you advice me to cut down on some things

Processor:E8400 3.0 Ghz(Will overclock it to 3.8)
Motherboard:Asus P5K-C Intel
GPU:XFX 8800GT DDr III Xtreme edition
RAM:Corsair XMS-2 DHX Twin2x2048 800 Bus
Casing:CoolerMaster CM690
Power Supply:Real Master Pro 650 Watts SLi Ready
HDD:Seagate 320 Gb SATA-II 16mb cache
In the system you selected you can make following cuts without loosing too much performance

Change processor to E7200 - Rs. 5,200 saved
Change casing to Coolermaster Elite 33x, but remember to get a 120mm fan for the front - Rs. 2,800 saved
Change power supply from Cooler Master Pro 650 to Corsair HX520 - Rs. 1,200 saved
Total Savings Rs. 9,200

I think this will be enough to get 9800GTX instead of 8800GT.

Corsair is currently the best brand in power supplies. Forget Coolermaster and choose from Corsair HX520W or TX650W. You can get them for 7,000 and 7,200 respectively from Galaxy. Both of them are more then capable of running your system with 9800GTX. HX520 is modular and has three +12v rails 40Amps combined while TX650 has a single +12v rail and has 52Amps on it.

too bad no research exists for that very claim hence disproved!

and provides more headroom for oveclocking, so yes, it is worth spending money on a good casing....
by how much extent does a casing allow for more overclocking? any tests to conclude your claim? dat is standard atx vs cm690 gives this much variance in heat and will allow this much more clocks to be extracted through an overclock?

There something called opportunity cost,

situation 'A' as claimed by you buy a expensive casing

5300rs for the casing, over a standard atx @ 1550...you want the guy to pay 3750rs for BETTER AIRFLOW?Long life(there are warranties and games that will want u to throw this pc within 3 years anyways)?

in those 3750rs the task at hand such as over clocking needs something called a decent hsf combo! not a decent casing!

Nah...am not paying Rs 5300 or Rs 3750 for the casing.....am paying a good Rs 7900 for better look, better space, hassle free installation and best of all KILLER LOOKS for a casing....:p

Open casing and big fan blowing into it is going to do a hell lot better. Screw two 120mm fans, im a like a 12INCH one :D (fan ...)

And if you are looking for serious overclocking, you'd be better off buying aftermarket coolers.

Id suggest Punisher to buy a normal Cooler Master 33x casing and .... get a water cooling kit. (4500 at galaxy CM)

Cost same ... and you are going to be a LOT cooler with that.

My cousin has done the exact same thing :). He was facing overheating issues so I gave him a couple of fans to put in his casing. He later informed me that he has installed the biggest fan that he could find :).

You are right. But the main issue is with 8800GT. A.Rafay informed us a couple of days ago that his XFX 8800GT reached 103c. Imagine hot air from that 8800GT as inflow for CPU heatsink. Even an aftermarket cooler will be able to cool the cpu only as much as the inflow air temperature. A good airflow will take that hot air quickly out of the casing and provide cool(er) air from the front intake.

If you go a few posts back you will see that I suggested him the same casing. I myself am using Coolermaster Elite 330 with 120mm fans in front and back. But as far as water cooling kit available at galaxy is concerned, I am yet to see anybody say anything good about them.

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
