I DOWNLODED BURNOUT PARIDISE 4 TIME EACH IT IS GAVE THE SAME ERROR 8540342 SOMETHING EVEN PAID FOR THE GAME I HAVE 4MB CONNECTION STILL IT TAKESS HALF A DAY TO DOWNLOAD[EVEN PAID FOR THE GAME][STILL DONT HAVE IT]

I've downloaded the mag beta and everything around it - big feat since it doesn't support resume (as it was a game update).
They key? Open your ports, enable DMZ or port forwarding and let your PS3 access the internet freely. And btw, I use a meager 1MB connection that disconnects when someone picks up the receiver.

And talking about lag free onlien gaming with communication - jawad, you still got that video uploaded somewhere where we were beating the crap out of that Indian clan with Muaaz, Radical, etc providing hilarious commentary in the chatroom? Man, those were good times.

Trust me, I've never had a better time online gaming than I had when we played as PG clan in Killzone2 - The Shyghast :lol:
One more reason to anticipate Killzone3, really fantastic community/clan/tournament creation and management tools.

Haven't used Live that extensively to really comment on it but I can't complain about PSN considering it's free - from payments AND tension

playing on psn for about 2-3 months so not new

kz2 is indeed the best mp but first have to mute everyone

and the is lag on live only on fps and when you are playing alone
we use to create our own host
and btw psn is also not lag free it has less lag

you have to type and type and type [hate typing]

now go on psn you will see what i am talking about now day there arnt that many people

Xbox LIVE is awesome when you have friends within Pakistan to play with. Because then it doesn't matter who gets the host since everyone gets zero lag. In Xbox LIVE, one of the players in the match gets the host, so whoever lives closer to the host will get no lag, if players live very far, they will get lag.

Usually when you get a Host from Europe, UAE or other countries closer to you only then you'll get (almost) no lag. But if you get someone from america then its almost a lag of half a second....Which is not good in a game like COD4 where the person who shoots the other guy first will (almost) always win the battle.

However in a game where skill and good aiming is involved, the lag really doesn't mater....And i am not kidding.

There is a reason why i keep playing Halo 3 in such lag...its because i can dodge the other guy's fire and kill him even if he's got me on half shields in that massive lag...Otherwise i would have left playing the game online.

eventho im a PS fanboy.. i have to admit XBOX LIve is alot lot better then PSN.. all i need is lag free gaming even if it costs sum money.. Live has got better DLC and Classics.. Party mode is awesome... and best of all is the option to check ur Friend's FriendList.. u can make many many new frnds..

Sony Computer Entertainment has dropped yet more hints that the hardware manufacturer may be looking to charge for online services via PlayStation Network.

When prompted as to how the company is managing the high costs associated with running PSN, executive vice president and chief technology officer, Masayuki Chatani, told Nikkei Japan:

"We would face difficulties if our business depended solely on the sell-and-forget model. After we sell the hardware, though, we continue to sell products such as content and services," said Chatani.

"We can also accept payment in a growing number of ways," he continued. "In addition to single-payment packaged software, there are also schemes like monthly fees or per-item charges."

While the context of Chatani’s answer remains ambiguous, it could be that he was merely discussing monthly fees for specific titles, such as MMOs. However, it should be noted that there have been consistent rumors throughout the year that Sony may be looking to employ an Xbox Live-style subscription service for PSN.

best deal imo is
xbox 360 + original mp games +lots of friends to play with+250rs per month=loads of fun that you cant imagine[no banhammer]

Xbox Live
+ The reason iPod is considered consumer device of the decade is due to its simplicity. The "NXE" borrows heavily from iPod (and XMB). The BIG eye popping interface is better than ever. Easy of use, friends list, invitations, voice messaging.
+ Xbox Live Party. Pretty much one of the best feature in the "NXE".
+ Facebook is not full featured but its good to have it.
+ Avatars instead of a friends' list looks way better.
+ Seriously, the Achievements are one of the single best things to be uploaded to GamerScore.
+ Xbox Live just keeps on evolving. Xbox 360 is not just a gaming console anymore. Its an entertainment package thanks to ever evolving LIVE.

- Xbox Live Silver subscription is pretty much useless. Why do we have to pay again to play a game we already paid a full price for? Silver members can't even download demo until after 7 days of its release.
- Why do we have to pay for virtual clothing for Avatars? Thats plain BS.

PlayStation Network
+ Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
+ Navigating through XMB is really fun.
+ Dynamic themes look gr8.
+ Messaging features dictionary.
+ PSN 3.1 is a MUCH MUCH more improved version of the launch firmware. Evolution on play.

- Even though XMB is really cool, its still not as simple as NXE.
- Inviting friends and managing stuff like that is a Abuses will lead to ban.
- Too many firmware updates.
- PS Home is not for everyone.
- No cross game chatting.

In the end, both of them keep on improving and do their job at their best...but Xbox LIVE has a narrow edge.
