I prefer PSN as well. Hopefully, PS will bring the group voice chat option in the upcoming firmware to make PSN totally dominant over XBL.

PSN [ADVANTAGES]
BETTER MP SERVERS LESS LAG

The single most important aspect....being able to party up with friends isn't even half as important as being able to play a lag-free game.

MAG is the prime example of what's possible over PSN....a 256 player lag-free multiplayer game....I don't see that happening on Live any time soon.

Then, there are unique games like LittleBigPlanet, which promote user-generated content. The closed-ended Xbox Live is built on a model that doesn't allow for such stuff to happen.

And not to forget, PS Home provides a rather ambitious take on online gaming and social interaction, with unique features such as game spaces and game launching....instead of ending up in a random game of 12-year-olds, you get to handpick a 'focused' bunch of people to play with....I've personally seen several people set up challenges for games like Tekken 6, SF IV, WipEout HD, LBP, Warhawk, using the game launching functionality.

PSN's only real disadvantage, IMO....the rest are insignificant, and not plausible in everyone's case

It's interesting how you're respecting and insulting his choice in the same phrase

Also, it seems you're pretty new to PSN....had you been around when the Killzone 2 thread was actually active, you'd have known

Once again, this is a matter of personal preference and cannot be dictated as fact....I prefer the Dualshock controller for pretty much every genre of gaming....is the opinion of a group of people going to change that for me?

And yes, before you ask, I have owned a 360 (on my 2nd console) and played on Live since 2006....it has its advantages, but on the whole, I prefer PSN....period!....Gears of War 2 has some of the worst lag I've encountered in an online game to date....the whole thing's been broken since it launched back in Fall 2008....it's somewhat playable now, with all the patches and what not, but still a broken game with countless exploits

With due respect, an honest word of advice....you need a better ISP....or else, there's something seriously wrong with your console/network setup

well havent used PSN as yet so no comments on it.... and for live its the best never had a problem with it and the growing number of subscribers day by day proves that its the biggest online gaming community ,,, and live does allow to share user generated content like in FORZA III, and may be xbox live is user friendly so thats y people prefer it over PSN ......
