PS4 Region Guide

Hello,

I would like to buy PS4 but i would like to ask there are different region PS4 available i need suggestion which region is good to buy? and whats the difference between all these regions?

I have a region 3 (Asia region) Ps4

So far only difference the regions make is the different buttons each of them use for selection etc on the Ps4 home menu(The game controls are same for all)

Also try to always get a region all disc or the region of which your console is, It allows you to play online on PSN

Thank You for your reply i heard that somehow region 1 is more prior than others is it true? and if i buy region locked Game it will not work on any other region console?

I dont know about Prior maybe its just more expensive.
And region locked games will work on all regions but you wont be able to play multi-player so its always good to buy region all game.

Let me put this clear.
Playstation 4 is by " Default " region free. As for the region classification, it's just an understanding from where the console is being purchased or coming from.
Pakistan is " Pal " which comes under region 2. So Starting from Whole of Europe till Bangladesh, we are under region 2.

Region 1 = Canada/USA
Region 2 = Pal/Uk/Middleast/Europe
Region 3 = Fareast ( Singapore/Hongkong/Malaysia/China )

Reg 2 J = This has been put into Region 2, but it is japense.

As for the Region buying consoles, to my experience, region 3 is a bit cheaper in terms on " Landing costs " means importing price due to some forex issues. That's why it is cheap.
As for Reg 2, this console is a bit pricing, cause in somewhat cases it can be claimed in pakistan, depending on which supplier u buy it from. But Reg 2 consoles get's easily claimed in Pakistan from Sony Pakistan with a warranty card and verifying the serial number with Jumbo Warranty Dubai, the best part of reg 2, that it can be claimined in some parts of Africa. The warranty card shows the countries, mentioning the claim.

Reg 1, you need to send it to Sony USA for claims. By Default All PS4 are in warranty, just the region need to be need for claims on your own expense.
As for the games, the are dependent over the subscription you need to play on. Mostly, after market sales, we need to have those subscriptions we can find easily in " Pakistan " , so we preffer

Reg All = USA
Reg 2 = UK

So these 2 countries are easier to make due to the currencies/subscription found easily anywhere in Pakistan. Hope it clears out.

multiplayer is not affected by region, you can play whatever region game on any region console, DLC is the problem, you can only play the same region dlc with the same region disc
