PS3 YLOD users, plz share ur experience!

I can ask this question in official help thread but I won't get enough responses there that's y made a separate thread.

So YLOD users, share ur experience here like from whom u repaired ur YLOD PS3, how long it has lasted & other things u wanna share it.

Mine got YLOD few days back, but faizy is not giving any guarantee so I'm a little confused about it.

Buddy reflow is completely use less thing it will may work for weeks but it will die and no one will give guarantee tht after reflow ur ps3 will work the thing u should do is talk to jshak on his site he wrote reballing . reballing is best it will last long and will not get ylod for 2 years or may b more if u change thermal past and take care of it

What r these reflow & reballing things? What difference b/w them? So reballing will be expensive? How much? I can't repair myself as I also don't know about thermal past thing.

1st one ylod (phat)
2nd one - 40gb space - got less - had to sell
3rd one- The laser stopped reading disc (sony has no repair policy here. so had to throw away)
Now 4th - 320gb slim - Working perfectly.

Mine is 40 GB fat hacked with CFW 3.55 but it's YLOD so for how much should I sell it? Or can we just replace it with a slim (whether new or used but working) for saving some money?

^Yeh to bohat kam hai I bought it for 28 k. Can't afford to buy slim. I think temporary fix reflow is the only option for now for me.

my 40gb yloded a couple of months back. faizy recommended forgetting about it and getting a slim cuz there's no guarantee of repairs. as for selling the dead ps3, i contacted modmonsta but he said 40gb is very old so he didn't end up taking it off my hands. i still have it stored away with absolutely no idea what i'm supposed to do with it. Using 160gb slim

The price of the Fat Ps3 has depreciated as the years went by...even if you have one in perfect condition...selling it for 15-17k would be a hassle....I agree with major sell it for 7k and buy a slim....or wait for a few weeks/months until you save up sufficient money for a slim console

Wese faizy don't do reballing? As the 2nd poster of this thread said reballing is more better (close to permanent) solution for YLOD.

No I don't have any job & father also doesn't allow me to use my own saved pocket money on consuming on gaming stuff. I know he won't allow me either to spend money on gaming even if I'm on job.

Can't we just replace old PS3 with a working slim (used or new)?

i agree with ashhad. Shyber was selling his near perfect 4ogb a while back and even his price was around 12-13k. so u can imagine that if a perfectly working 40gb is selling for around 10k, a faulty one won't even come close to that. i don't know about re-balling cuz when i spoke to faizy, he just said it's better to get a new one. you can try asking him yourself if you want a better opinion.

Nouman as I know you use your ps3 for CFW games so I would advise you to sell this and get a used jasper fat 360 console
you should get it for 12-14k easily
