Hey Abbas,

Can you guide me the step-wise procedure to update the Minumus device I have purchased from you, to be updated with this latest Hermes V4b. Please also tell me if by updating to this will delete any old game dumps on internal harddisk or save game data or any other firmware patch needs to be installed again on the PS3.

Hey,
To update the Minimus AVR modchip to the latest Hermes hex, follow these steps.
1) Get the Hermes V4b file from this link i uploaded > http://filevo.com/vgwurnqsrz9f.html
2) get the Minimus AVR manual v1.4 from the official site at www.minimususb.com
3) to install the drivers for Minimus AVR, follow all the steps from page 1 to 3.
4) after driver installation is successful, take out the minimus. then follow all steps on PAGE 7 of the manual.
5) after the minimus is ready go program (using the page7 steps) , then go back to manual and follow all the steps from PAGE 4 to Page 6.
Make sure that during this 5th step, you use the hex file from step 1 that i uploaded and linked above.
6) Success!

As long as you don't delete the old backup manager from your ps3, your ps3 jailbreak games wont be deleted from the ps3. so if you want to move to another manager, just let the old manager stay there and install the new manager. u can use both side to side. will save you from hassle of having to ftp all games again.

ok one more thing im sure ive said it before here but here i go again that one of my friends did jailbroke his ps3 but than un-jailbroke and went online and now hes online on psn and hes fine till now !

said this coz i got a pm asking for this ! so i think im pretty clear now sony isnt like banning ur consoles or anything ! they just gave u a choice ! piracy or online

Thanks man, will try it soon and will bug you in case of any troubles or failure.

Any idea about any development going on to make the non-working games (COD MW2, POP2 etc) work in any of the new hex payloads. Will it be possible anyhow or for some games we inadvertently have to go to get the original blu-ray disc.

This is an easyest way to play moh on 3.41
Procédure:

- Install game (BLUS30436/BLES00860) with OBM 1.17.2 from external to internal with patched mode.
- Install1.01 update from USB with "Install Package files" fonctionality from Hermes V4".
- select game in OBM 1.17.2 (patched mode).
- run game (tested with a gamein BD drive).

No need to edit SFO or replace eboot

Can you please elaborate on the procedure a bit.

I have got MOH downloaded on my NTFS internal drive (all files intact with original file size).

To follow the procedure I have to copy from external to internal harddisk using OBM. But the external disk could only be in FAT32 format on PS3 (which has a file size limit of 4GB). As a result I cannot copy the whole game from internal to external harrdisk on my PC. The folder and file name as below has a size of around 5.9GB.

\MedalofHonor\PS3_GAME\PKGDIR\PKG00\INSTALL.PKG

This blocks step 1, which is copying the complete game from external to internal harddisk of PS3.

Then for step 2 , where can I get the 1.01 update . Is it to be downloaded separately from internet. What is the link for it ?. What is its file size ?. Should I copy it in a external USB and attach it to PS3 or should I try to directly download this update on PS3 ?.

Thanks if you can guide with a bit of more detail for a noob like me. I am using Minimus AVR chip with Hermesv4b payload.

simple way
delete that \MedalofHonor\PS3_GAME\PKGDIR\PKG00\INSTALL.PKG file its old medal of honor ps2 wali delete only install.pkg

after deleting copy game into external hdd . u need hermes 4b and giga manager v 1.03.1 (dont use 1.03) then copy into internal hdd of ps3 using giga manager then insert any game blu ray and run game from giga manager it will ask u to edit sfo file click yes
thats it no need to update of editing any thing . only when giga manger ask click yes
